This summer is the perfect time to celebrate our country, honor our loved ones in the military, and teach kids about patriotism - and what better way than with a fun craft that puts the "eat" in create!
Sweethearts is unveiling a new line of Red, White & You Sweethearts. They're perfect for creating patriotic treats and fun crafts with children. Add them to cupcakes, scatter them on picnic tables or give them out as party goodies to bring a fun, colorful and edible element to any summer BBQ. They are a great way to pay tribute to those who are serving our country and to help kids get involved with acknowledging that honor.
Creating a care package as a family is another great summer activity. The new Sweethearts brand is supporting the USO with a $75,000 commitment, promoting Operation USO Care Package (OUCP) on its Red, White & You packaging and supplying Red, White & You Sweethearts for USO care packages sent this summer. Sweethearts has also set up the site uso.org/sweethearts, where people can visit to make their own donation to OUCP and download a craft booklet.
The new Red, White & You Sweethearts display 13 heartfelt phrases, including "I (heart) USA," "Glory," "My Hero," "Miss You," "Proud of U," "Thank You," "USO," "Honor," "I (heart) You," "Brave One," "Home Safe," "Valor," and "Proud." The new hearts come in all-American flavors, including strawberry, blueberry and vanilla crème, and are available now at local candy retailers.
For the first 50 bloggers who are interested in posting their creations or reviewing on their blog: we will provide several packages of the Red, White & You Sweethearts and craft books to try out your own fun crafts and desserts.
