TwitterMoms Charity Wine Tasting Event!

We're very excited to announce the first ever Twitter Wine Tasting for Charity event!

This month we will be tasting wines from Humanitas Wines. All selections will be sold directly through their website and 100% of the profits will go to charity.Of course, it's just great if you show up. Drink whatever you've got handy and we'll have fun! We will be auctioning off a few very nice bottles of wine from Twitter Taste Live's personal cellar! 100% of the proceeds go to charity! You don't want to miss it!

This charity tasting event is brought to you by Humanitas Wines, TwitterMoms.com and Twitter Taste LIVE. The idea is to bring together members of the wine blogging community, wine trade and consumers from all over the world for the largest online wine tasting in history. We are excited to be a part of the event, and we'll see how it goes!

Can someone clear up... #twmc or #TTL? #twmc for our funny twittermom off-topic stuff like last time and #TTL for actual tasting comments?

Mr B is joining me for this.. he got a little pouty when he saw 3 bottles arrive and heard it was for #tmwc! I told him he's welcome to join in the imbibing, but the tweets are all mine. Can't wait! (Crackers and cheese are good idea, Nancy... will get them on way home from daughter's skating practice.)

Bummed, still no wine! Not only that, I promised my daughter we would go see Twilight the minute it came out! Well, that would be tonight - so, if I can participate at all, it will be on a very limited basis. Drink charitably, all...

I am *SO* excited that twittermoms has joined forces with @LENNDEVOURS, and @binendswine for this fantastic event. For those who have not participated in a twitter taste live event, I'll comment here and toss a link to my blog:
When we do our tasting notes, we'll be using the #TTL "hashtag". That hashtag is automatically picked up real time, and can be viewed 2 ways. The first is by going to http://twittertastelive.com and watching the front page, as it'll update auto-magically. The second way is to use http://summize.com and do a search for #TTL. This will let you see what everyone participating in Twitter Taste Live is saying, as long as they use the #TTL tag.

Additionally, you can watch me do live video streaming of the tasting. My feed is on the front page of http://twittertastelive.com or you can follow along with the ustream chat room live at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/a-good-time-with-wine

I ordered my wines last week, and hope they arrive by Friday. I'm in South Florida like Nancy, and expect they will as the UPS tracking has it hitting Thursday.

Wish I could order the wine - they don't seem to be able to ship to Canada. But I'll be there in spirit - and with a glass of wine in hand :-)

Ok, I just ordered all three. I figure with holidays around the corner, will easily be able to use one as a gift and hopefully inspire more of the charitable giving. Biggest challenge will be getting Mr B home to do kids' bedtime so I can join earlier this time!
