Twittering From The Cradle?

  • Rating: No Rating
This article came out a few weeks ago about the youngest twitterers out there. It's so funny! Parents are "shaping their children’s online identities even before they are diaper-free."

Are you guys doing this?

That's an interesting article. My kids are quite a bit older, but my 12 yr old is fascinated with Twitter and wondered if she could 'get her own'. I need to think about that one.

She did get a few things wrong in the article, Dom was only maybe 6 months old and we live in Winnipeg Manitoba not Winnipeg Ontario :P

Heck Ya!! I would definitly keep a copy of that for Dominic when he is older! I bet he'll think it's cool that he was in a major paper in the US

Hi Dawn!! I allow my 12 yo son to use Twitter. Since I "follow" him, I can keep an eye on who he's following and who follow him, etc. We also use it to communicate with each other. So far, it has been a positive experience :)

I started a totspot account for my littlest one, 14 months old, but haven't kept up with it at all. I scrapbook, so I know those memories will be preserved that way.

i love it! My hubby did an online baby shower that has turned into our little one's blog.... he's a year old now and already has a blog! it's a great way to keep in touch with family and friends, and a great record of the little things... so much easier than a baby book! =)

You should also take a look at Wee Web. It is extremely easy and fast to use. You don't spend time filling out profile pages; it is just as easy as Twitter, and it really helps you share your kids' special moments with family and friends who are geographically dispersed.
