twitter moms: the influential moms network

I see that there's a section on our pages where we can add photos, video, and widgets. Can someone give me a widget tutorial?

--Where do I find/get widgets?
--How do I get them to show up? (I'm trying to paste the "embed code" and having no luck.)

Help!

I managed to add a twitter badge to my profile - not sure I like how it looks. but if you want one of those, log into twitter, go into "Settings" (at the top of your twitter screen), and click on the link under the place where you list your blog's URL. It'll bring up a screen with a few options, click the "other" at the bottom of the list and you'll have 3 different ways to display your twitter widget. It'll give you instructions for copying the code. And then paste it into the section you mentioned above, click save.

was there a specific widget you were looking for?

I found one that would include feeds from Twitter, Flickr, Stumbleupon, and more, all in one widget, and I could customize the width, color, etc. When I put the code in, however, nothing showed up on my page. I tried some other ones (which I don't like as well) and did get them to work.

It seems that maybe Flash embeds work here but Javascript doesn't?

Javascript doesn't. If you use the Springbox widget, make sure you use the HTML embed. This means a lot of the regular widgets, like the one on my site from MyBlogCatalog will not work.

OK, see, I'm still learning. I didn't realize that the widgets were called Twitter Badges, and that Megan had already told us how to use them in another discussion!

I tried to add an inauguration 09 widget from twittervision and couldn't. It's a same as much time as I spend on TMs it would have been nice to watch all the tweets from my profile page. But, instead I which back and forth. What's a girl to do? Any suggestions?

Here's the site to get a widget large or sidebar http://inaugurationreport.com/widgets/, if you have any luck before the event please let me know.
