My four year old daughter is going to be The Bear In The Big Blue House as far as I know right now. We have that costume and another one and will probably have more before the holiday! She loves to dress up. LOL She isn't a "girly-girl" though so anything like that is out. I am 99% sure she will be the bear or another animal.

Oh, it is soooooo sad. My little one is 14 years old so, we will just stay home for Halloween.
We would dress up to greet kids but, we have no kids ever come out. For years when we lived in Washington we decorated the yard as a graveyard, had the big kids in the neighborhood lay in caskets, had 'witches brew or cat soup' going, and all the neighbors came out to watch trick or treaters. Since we have been in Vegas we have not done anything like that.

I always made costumes and the last year Cait went out she was a Giant Disco Ball. I did not want her getting hit by a car. Although we found that when the lights hit her the drivers were blinded. Oh well! LOL.

That is over 200 AOL cd's that had come in the mail, drilled and sewn on a man's large black shirt.

I sooooo miss getting to dress up.

My almost 3 yr old wants to be a Cow and we all are dressing up so Hubby is going to be a Farmer and I am going to be a Pig (that is what my son wants me to be) I wanted to be a Farm Girl. I may dress our dog up also as a pig, I need some company.

I am not sure yet, my daughter who is turning 3 on October 25th will get to pick out her costume this year for the first time. My son can get tricky. He is 5 yrs old and has Angelman Syndrome, so I have to find costumes that don't have masks, hats or anything that goes on his head. If anyone has ideas I would surely welcome them!
We haven't really gone trick or treating in the last 5 yrs. We take the kiddos over to my moms house for them to trick or treat at that house and then usually come home and wait for kids to knock on our door. It is strange in some ways, my friends and I would go all over with our parents, but I am so scared these days to do that with my own kiddos. Am I just to paranoid???

My 14 yo daughter has decided she is going to be a leaf blower - quite fitting for a teenager. Minimal effort and yet it's still dressing up for Halloween. You attach a wire to the front of the hat, add a leaf on the end and then blow on it. See...leaf blower! LOL! Not sure what my 10 yo old son wants to do yet. Probably something related to Godzilla. :)

We used to go to our church to play games and go on hay rides, but the last two years we've gone over to my BIL's neighborhood where they have large lots and ride on trailers pulled by Rhinos. The kids have a blast. Although alot of houses are empty out there now so not sure we'll be doing it again this year.

We're going to Disneyland/California Adventure for their trick-or-treat night. It's safe and fun. My kids are going to be a Vampire and a bat. They are very excited.

My younger daughter wants to be something like a witch or another traditional character, but my older one - she's 9 - wants to create a homemade costume of a shirtless man with a hairy chest. GROSS! Makes me miss the years she wanted to just be a fairy/princess/sweet cute thing. And now we have to trek out to Michael's or Joanne's for craft items to make a hairy chest. Hope she doesn't want to carry around an empty beer can too.

My 10 yr old daughter just decided to be a punk rocker. Since she goes to parochial school, I'm making it "polite punk" but there will be pink hair spray (possibly blue too!) My 14 month old might just be "queen baby" playing off a nickname we gave her.
