Howdy! I don't usually cook on Saturdays. Friday night and Saturday night are my breaks from cooking. Friday night is always pizza night and Saturday I don't cook - the food varies. From Chinese to Sonic to whatever...sit down dinner out occasionally.
I sometimes (most of the time) work on Saturday nights but I had tonight off and my friend and I made horseradish mashed potatoes with caramelized onions, cornbread with green chilis and cheddar cheese, and green beans almandine. We were practicing for Thanksgiving. It will be the first time my friend has ever made a full Thanksgiving dinner and she wants to make it from scratch. So I'm helping her decide what to make.
Who would have ever thought it would make an interesting read finding out if we cook on Saturdays! Saturday is the one day we definitely go out for lunch and the we are both on our own for dinner, finding whatever it is we might want in the house for dinner. Sundays used to be a day out for lunch too, but lately I've been making something super easy and then we might take Astrid out to a dog friendly place like Caribou Coffee and have dessert outdoors.

We worked out a menu system, and we typically don't cook on the weekends. My husband works on some Saturdays, and most all weekends we go visit my parents for hubby to watch football and the like. So, we typically leave after he gets home from work. Or on the rare occasions when we are actually home, it's leftovers.

well I dont, as of saturday morning I am deposed from my kitchen supremacy and my fabulous husband takes over!!!! He cooks pretty good meals, loves trying new stuff although to make myself feel better I must say it takes him hours, we always have super late dinners, he uses the most amazing amount of dishes and burns himself without fail... so home cooking on a saturday yes, me cooking no way!!!
Not me!! We usually go to Chili's, haha. We are Chili's regulars but one of our good friends is a bartender so we go to visit him, get free chips & queso and watch college football. If we have the kiddies, then we go out to dinner with my parents.
Hubby cooks pretty much every night of the week. For the past 3 weekends we have splurged and tried out quite a few new restaurants though. It's been fun! (oh we don't have kids at home)
I always cook a big meal on Friday night so I don't have to cook anything on Saturday - I just heat up the leftovers. Usually I make soup or a big casserole.
I often cook on Saturdays and Sundays. I work out of the home Monday - Friday and enjoy having more time to cook on the weekends. Especially now with the fall comfort foods.
