I only shop online if it's something I would never be able to find in-store. I love e-bay. But most major stores nowadays have the option of having the stuff you buy online delivered to the nearest branch, sometimes it's faster than waiting for it to be delivered to your house.

I only have a couple of sites I trust. Amazon and Walmart. Sometimes other stores, but nothing that doesn't stand out. I stay away from Ebay, for example.

I do like to shop online, but have become far more particular about it. After watching how so many stores changed prices regularly (online) and how many of them raised prices, I am a bit wary. For example...you figure Amazon is always a deal, right? Notsomuch. My daughter wanted a My Little Pony (a crawling one). In the stores, Walmart and Target, it was $19.99. ON Amazon, it depended on the color. Pink was $16.99, but the orange one was $39.99! Good thing I was price shopping!

I believe shopping online is the wave of the future if you have a online store or are a Wahm you should shop online from other reps and train your downline members and customers to do the same.

I love shopping online. It is far more convenient. Have to watch out for those shipping rates, but if you compare them to the gas you go through trying to find a specific item, it's usually a toss-up.

I love Amazon's Prime service, especially when you have kids in school. They ALWAYS come home with a book they need by TOMORROW! Every local store is sold out, of course, because every other mother has to find one by tomorrow, too. Can't tell you how much money in gas (and sanity--surely there's a dollar value on sanity!) Amazon has saved me over the years.

Here's a hint for you moms whose kids haven't started the last-minute-book-shuffle yet. Email the teachers at the beginning of the year and get a list. They know what they're going to teach. When your kid comes home with that last minute requirement, you can just blithely hand him the book. The look on his face is priceless.

I do a fair amount of shopping on-line, especially for things that I buy regularly (so I know the store, their policies, etc...). I have a Hanna Andersson addiction (which I can only get on-line in Canada) and have all my office supplies delivered, as well as lots of lovely hand-crafted stuff from etsy...

Since starting my own store, I've also come to understand way more about the security behind a lot of this credit card stuff and I actually feel safer using something like Paypal or a third-party credit card processor because the vendor never actually sees my information. Realistically, it's probably far safer than being in a store or having my credit info stored in a database that may or may not be properly secured. I always find it funny when people fax or call in orders - I guess they don't realize it's safer to deal with a company whose business depends on security than to talk to little old me on the telephone as I type it in... sometimes, it's the human touch, I guess :).

I absolutely love online shopping because for me personally it is very convenient. Actually I always buy CDs, DVDs and books on amazon. Sometimes I also order clothes for me and my family online.
Basically I am of the opinion that if you consider some rules online shopping is safe. I am of the opinion that prospectively more and more people will shop online.
