Do you have any good tips for keeping you and your family sniffle-free as we pack our swimsuits away and bring out the mittens? Vtamin C, garlic, echinacea, hand sanitizer?

Well...as strange as it may sound...we haven't had a cold around here in over a year. Since we started taking Ultra Vitality (a multi vit with probiotics) and Genesis (the most powerful antioxidant drink on the market). We have had the occasional infection or allergy flare up, but no colds or flu for me, the hubby, or the kids. (the kids take future star as their multi vit) We wash our hands often and eat well balanced meals with lots of green veggies!! I make the kids eat an apple a day...We are good in this dept!

Vitamin C...ok, don't laugh! My kids know I"m a Vitamin C freak. As soon as they start coughing or sniffling, we start downing the Vitamin C, every hour in the morning if necessary. That along with good nights of sleep & eating well seem to do the trick.

All of this is just plain common sense to me.

It's not a shamless plug, but I drink 2 ounces of Mona Vie every morning and night - and we are a very healthy bunch. I am not a fan of vitamins, and although I eat pretty healthy, I know I am not getting all the antioxidants to help keep me on track. I have seen it with my husband, my daughter, myself - and with friends - a little bit of Mona Vie a day and it's keeping the ickies away!

Do you sell mona vie? because at 4 oz. a day isn't that like $120 a month?

I have an in-home daycare and we have a lot of people in and out or our home. I follow health and sanitation rules for daycare, but for my family I offer a "Great" tasting Hybrid/Antioxident power punch vitamin drink to my own children, I take Women's Hybrid/Antioxident vitamin supplements, Fatty Acid supplement, drink my daily Detox tea and good to go. Of course, REST and easting balanced meals are equally important. We wash hands frequently, and if we have the onset of a cold "Get Well Soon" helps boost the immune and get rid of it quicker. I hardly ever have to close daycare for a sick day, because I take care of my body with products that work. Keeping your mind healthy is also beneficial!

We talk about building up our immune systems gearing up as summer winds out...making sure everyone is reg taking their vits, Vit C, good green multi, lots of water-and keep hands washed after being in public -or use wipes in the car immediately, keeping fingers away from, mouth, nose, eyes and ears, as those are channels for collecting germs and one of the most important tips is to REDUCE sugar! One can of soda or bottle of fruit juice - can stop your immunne system from functioning for 24 hours--so if you ever wonder why your kids go to a bday party and the next day is laid up sick?? Cake, fruit, punch, icecream, goody bags....humm....moderation is key, but during flu seasons,we're more cautious about what we take in,

I made homemade soup that is loaded w/vitamins (anti-cancer soup recipe from my website). It's all cruciferous veggies--cruciferfou--- crucify---we all know what that stands for so cruciferous type veggies kills cells that are abnormal! (recipe at: www.beautysecretsspiritsoulbody.com). Regarding washing hands, we used an advanced hygene system, over hand sanitizers daily morning and night...where kids dip the hands and finger nails in the soap dish and use a soft brush under nails. Most of the germs resides under and around the cuticles. If you want to know more just hit me, I don't want seem like I'm promoting products that I like on other people's sites.

We've managed to reverse our health completely by practicing these simple tips and no one has gotten colds or sniffles in YEARS! I haven't had a cold in probably 10 years!!! Before being health conscious, I was one of those pronies. But Knowledge is power!

Immuplex really works well. The minute you feel something coming on start taking it and it go away. If you take it too late, your cold will be shortened.

I looked it up...this is what it includes...

Immuplex combines vitamins A, B12, C, and E, and folic acid, and minerals such as zinc, copper, chromium, iron, and selenium

Guess we are lucky, we almost never get sick. We do try to eat right & have no dairy.
I would just say to watch letting your kids use Hand sanitizer & sanitizing soap. It not only kills the bad germs but also kills the good ones. Using it to often can cause a terrible body rash (even if only using it on your hands).
Kids can also get "drunk" from licking their hands with the sanitizer on it.

Other than that - eat right. Let your kids be sick! Yes, they will be grumpy but, they are building up their immune system. The US is getting "Super Bugs" because to many parents over do the antibiotics. Letting your kids have a fever is the bodies way of killing the germs.

HONEY! We do local honey! When you get it from local bees you are letting your body get used to local pollen. Many times parents think the kid is sick & it is just a reaction to pollen. Ok, so many of you are out of the pollen phase now but, in Vegas we have tons of stuff blooming now. Also honey is a natural sugar that helps the body produce the energy it needs to fight germs. It also will not give the kids the High & Low like a processed sugar.

Tons of water! You exhale water every time you breath. Kids with runny noses, vomiting... will become dehydrated quickly & may never notice.

Ok, I think I feel a stuffy nose coming - LOL!
