*sigh*
Lately, it's when my teenaged daughter takes things out of the house and they don't come back again...I don't know why she doesn't seem to have any regard for other's possessions. I've decided everytime she takes something and leaves it somwhere, I'm taking something of hers and she won't get it back till my stuff gets returned. Nothing else has worked up till now!

1. Scream at each other.

2. when they both speak at the same time.

3. when my daughter "cries" to get her brother in trouble.

...she doesn't respond when something has happened, say at school or something! It worries me because I am afraid if something really bad were to happen, it would take me forever to get the details to be able to respond, you know? I'm not speaking of something she has done, but something that happened to her -- it is maddening and like pulling teeth. Once, when she was pretty little, I picked her up from preschool and she had a round hole, about the size of a 50 cent piece, in a brand new, expensive T-shirt her aunt bought her. It was right in front in the chest area. I asked her what happened and she couldn't/didn't tell me. I became angry and finally after a very long time, she said, "I think so and so did it." Well, come to find out, some other kid cut a hole in her shirt with a pair of scissors he grabbed while the teacher wasn't looking because he didn't like her shirt!! Oh man, that was scary! I was mortified and so was the mom of the kid. Sometimes it's still hard to get info out of her and I don't know why.

tell me at 10:00 pm they volunteered to bring cupcakes for the party tomorrow. How many cupcakes? Only enough to feed the entire 7th grade.

Won't stop talking when I'm trying to watch my favorite show...so I have to rewind it a gazillion times to try and figure out what they just said. Finally I just give up.

Pretend that they don't know something just because it's easier to say "I don't know" than it is to give an intelligent answer!!!!
