I like to keep up with some celebs that I enjoy watching, not just cause they are celebs. They have witty and interesting tweets.
Like...
@wilw (Wil Wheaton) and @feliciaday ( Felicia Day, up and coming star from @drhorrible and just guest starred in House episode) Also follow fakesarahpalin and fakemccain cause they're hilarious!
I'll check out Britney just for pure entertainment ... Dave Matthews would be cool too... I'll bet we see more and more coming on board....or their publicists coming on board on their behalf!
I really don't idolize celebrities or have a desire to read what their Personal Assistant's twitter about them. Celebrities on twitter is just hype. Twitter is the upcoming and rising star of the internet like predicted large corporations, news channels everyone is getting on twitter.
I follow "characters" of some shows but I don't really take any of their tweets seriously. I also follow specific shows as well. Mad Men and Life on Mars for instance. As for Britney, I wouldn't touch her with a ten foot pole let alone follow her on Twitter but that's a personal opinion. I don't see what the harm is in following celebs, shows, etc. Oh. And I follow TV Guide which I really like because they tweet "what's new on tonight" so I don't miss my favorite shows.
I just starting following Britney! I guess some of us just have *hopes* of getting their attention!! :) Not for myself but for my business and for Posh Parent!! lol
I first learned about Twitter because of a news item on the Dave Matthews Band fansite Antsmarching.org. I started by following Dave, then found fellow DMB mate, Stephan Lessard. Does Barak Obama count as a celebrity? If so, count me in on That One as well! :-)
