I just started the Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris. I loved the first two episodes of True Blood, so I thought I might as well spoil the rest and read the books!

Here's what we're reading:

12yo daughter -- Frostbite by Richelle Mead
12yo son -- The Two Towers by JRR Tolkien
me -- Just Breathe by Susan Wiggs

DH is between books right now. It takes him longer than the rest of us to find something to draw him in.

I read Twilight and enjoyed it, the jury is out if I am going to read the others. Middlesex was my all time favorite book. I loved that story.

My pile of books to read just keeps getting higher and higher and I can't keep up. Everytime I see a book that I think I will like I just add it to my collection. Maybe when I'm 60 I'll get to all of them - HA! :) My 1 1/2 yr old keeps be hopping. His favorite book right now is probably Millie Moo :).

I'm loving the Twilight series right now, too, and recently re-read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows b/c I lurve those books so much. An all-time fave is The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. And my all-time fave series is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.

My 5-year-old DD is loving the Magic Tree House series and the various Fairy series by Daisy Meadows. They are her 1st chapter books, and she just FLIES through them.

I'm currently reading The Life of Pi by Yann Martel and it's so interesting!! I love to read and always find a little time for reading in my week. I keep a book with me for at the park or when the kids fall asleep in the car!

With my oldest we are currently reading the Junie B Jones series and they are so funny. We also read different learning to read type books from the library regularly (he's in grade one and working hard on his reading skills!)

I am from The Netherlands and i think we have a lot different books then you guys overseas have.
My son absolutely loves a book about a little mole (is that it, a black little animal in the ground, trashing grass fields hehe) that has been pooped on the head. He goes by several animals on the farm before he finds out who did it..
And we also have books about two neighbourkids, a boy and a girl that get into all sorts of stuff, very related to the world of 3 -6 year old kids.

For myself I love Harry Potters, The chronicles of Narnia, books like Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci code. I also just started a book written by Kate Mosse, Labyrinth. Also same genre as DVinci.

For kids making the transition from chapter books to middle grade novels, I recommend Lin Oliver's WHO SHRUNK DANIEL FUNK series. Books one and two are out now. They are packed with humor, and are among the funniest books I've read.

Good Night Moon and I'm Gonna Like Me by Jamie Lee Curtis are two of our favorites!
