Good for you, Mary! One of my friends (oh, that would be Sensuous Wife!) says that sex is the glue that bonds a marriage together and I totally agree. You can have a good marriage w/o it, but it's a far better marriage WITH it, and paying attention to each other is one way to build a stronger family. :) you go, girl! :)

Thanks Sue! I also think sex is very important in a marriage, it's also a way to reming you that you're not only a mother but a woman too.



Good for you, Mary! One of my friends (oh, that would be Sensuous Wife!) says that sex is the glue that bonds a marriage together and I totally agree. You can have a good marriage w/o it, but it's a far better marriage WITH it, and paying attention to each other is one way to build a stronger family. :) you go, girl! :)

You women inspire me! We are working through some tough issues in our marriage and sex isn't as frequent as I'd like (I'm all for a 5-6 times per week "executive meeting" myself), but we're getting there. Maybe it's the age I'm at (they say women hit a new stride sexually in their 30s), or maybe it's that our DS is old enough now that it's less stress on me to be a mom. But it's amazing to me exactly how much closer emotionally we are when it's more frequent and how much stronger our marriage is than what it used to be. :)

And I like Mary's thought that we're women as well as moms ... most of us don't get to be moms w/o having sex and somehow, it seems to get put on the back-burner a bit when we do become moms. Hmmm....

You know, we've only been together six years and I often wonder when and if we'll have our first "real" hurdle. I think all marriages, even the strongest of marriages have ebbs and flows right? I hope you and your husband work through this and get back to good. :)

we are working through some big things -- we are both survivors of abuse and these issues have come to a head this year. but we are committed to each other and working it out, and so the hard work continues. I think you're right -- even the strongest marriages have their ebbs and flows. We've got swirling eddies all around us, but we're walking downstream together. :)

Not long ago. I'm LOVING my 30's!!!

We're texting about it right now. He's at work and I always get in trouble texting him at night cause he's on 24 hours shifts. lol Oh well, makes for a good morning after the kids go to school. ;)

Sue, after 19 years together and 14 years of marriage, we have totally been there. The kids being older now has a lot to do with the renewed sex life I do have to say. Ship them to friends house, both of us home mid-days sometimes. Teenagers again. (we got together at 17 & 18)

I don't know about it being European, but I don't very often, b/c I find it less-satisfying than Os with my husband. Must be the phase of life we're in, but I find self-induced Os to be okay, just not as much fun. JMO
