Hi Ladies ~ I was wondering if any of your are using Facebook successfully to promote your business on Facebook ... if so, have you blogged about it ... or could you give me some helpful hints? Thanks! *SmiLes* Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

I started my own group on Facebook (Eclipsespa organic bath & body) and have several group members in addition to my regular profile. I keep adding friends and update my status on a regular basis. This has resulted in product inquires. I even had a sale from a gal I went to grammar school and high school! I think I have another HS friend placing an order this evening:) You can also use Facebook to place ads. They are low cost compared to google adwords. You can easily target your market, by state, college, gender, age group and more. I know of several people using Facebook to softly promote their businesses.

I have a small group of friends on FB, mostly family and friends, and I do use FB to let them know that I've made new blog posts. My group and my blog are too small, I suppose, to consider that promotion. But it does work. My traffic always spikes after I make an announcement. I figure as my blog grows, that method of traffic building will grow as well.

Hi Suzanne :) I too have been successful with FB at promoting my jewelry business. I have a small group of about 50 or so friends and family, and like Anne, i have also created a group for my shop (shopmarigold.etsy.com). so far the bulk of my sales have been through FB! but then again, I do have a ton of friends and family who have really been wonderfully supportive to me :) i am still learning all the great ways to promote online, and thus far, Facebook has been a good starting point. Like Anne says, i try to 'softly' promote my jewelry on there. come on by and be my 'face book friend' :) try it out and see if you like it.

I have yet to figure out how to create a group. Most in my network are already photogs. So how do I get others to join? Do I seek them out and ask to be friends? Is that considered to be creepy?

I just started it a couple of days ago. I haven't had any luck yet, but I'll let you know. I seem to have gotten the best results from Youtube and TV ads. TV ads tend to get a little pricy though.

I created a page for my business Lucky Mama Marketplace, and we have about 60 fans. If you become a fan of mine I'll become a fan of yours!

Can you tell me how to promote using Youtube?

Very interesting. I also have a Face Book "fan page". - Making Babies. My numbers grow and grow daily. But there isn't really interaction on the page? Not sure if I'm doing it right? Would love to learn more about this.

I'm a little Face Book challenged. LOL
