Well, we are not really from Europe, we are from California, but we are on an open ended world tour and we are in Europe ( Denmark at the moment, heading south to Andalusia Spain where we have wintered the last 2 winters in a small 15th century white village).

Germany will be the next country we visit, then France and onto Spain. I would love to have you as a friend and I love to chat when I have the time ( and connection...sometimes unplugged while traveling)!

Are you in Copenhagen now or elsewhere in Denmark ?

We are in Copenhagen right now. We will go to Legoland and Aero Island, but I am not sure which we will do first. Then it is down to Kohn, Germany. Kidlet wants to go the chocolate factory there as we had to miss the Cadbury one in UK.

Are you in Germany or Holland?

I am Dutch but i live in Germany right now in Düsseldorf area which is 50 km from Cologne.
I love Copenhagen but Germany is very nice too but veeeeeeeeery big !

Hi there. I am originally from Scotland, but live in the US. I work all hours of the day and night sometimes ( we are in production) so I may as well be anywhere in the world time wise!!

I'm just like Barbara (except Irish, not Scottish).
But I do work all hours of day & night (lately) & even when I'm not working so much, I'm online at odd hours of day & night to keep in touch with family & friends :)

So, where abouts do you live in the USA ? Are you originally from Ireland or born in the states ?
I love Ireland and Irish people, although i have only been to Dublin.

I'm in the UK, so the time difference isn't all that great. I think it's about 2 hours.

BTW I spent a holiday in the Cologne area years ago, it's a beautiful part of the world.

Born in Dublin. Lived outside Dublin until I went to Uni (in Belfast). Moved to the U.S. in 1995, lived first in Palo Alto. Now living in Seattle.

Cool - I think Dublin is wonderful. I have been to Palo Alto on a visit to California a looooooong time ago. Seattle is still on my list of towns to visit but with 2 little kids now it's a long way from home.

My sis in law is from the Netherlands and we bought our RV there so we have Dutch plates. I can not tell you how many times we have a happy face come up to us and start talking Dutch! Sadly we do not understand a word...hardly, actually know a few words.

All speak English though usually and we have met great people that way. The last was a family from NZ ( he was from Holland orig and so was the mom's parents, so they speak it at home instead of English). They are on a 13 month tour in an RV too. It was soo great because my daughter had wanted to spend her Birthday with another kid who spoke English and she was also looking for an English speaker. They had a ball !

We will do part of Germany this year and part next.

I am also online at all hours, sometimes I stay up all night because it is the quietest time when I can get the most done without interruptions. lol
