Just wondering if people are participating in other mom-oriented sites. I like MomBloggersClub and DivineCaroline. Are there others we should check out or participate in?
I used to get on CafeMom.com often. It got imensley popular and too hard to keep up with at times, but it is such a good outlet to just be yourself and make awesome friends.
I used to go on cafemom quite a bit, but it became too busy and hard to keep up with. I now have my own mom support site at http://mamastimeout.com which has been growing steadily. I also enjoy MBC. I don't have any favorites, but my own right now since I am busy growing it ☺
Try ParentClick.com. They are a network of family resource websites and there are a bunch across the country. I own the Long Island site (www.LIParentSource.com) but each site is always looking for contributing writers. It's a great way to get some exposure for your blog. Also we love Mom Select (www.momselect.com). Founded by the owner of BSM Media, she is also looking to connect mommy bloggers with companies and has some great opportunities for bloggers.
HOLY SMOKES! I never knew there were SO MANY out there. Do I have time to commit to all of these. YICKES My husband thinks I am crazy by the ones that I am on right now! LOL But it is addictive and I LOVE meeting mommies!
Okay here is where I am at and expect me to pop up on all the ones you mentioned! HA
Cafemom.com, momjunction.com, New to momcentral.com
I couldn't keep up with all of those! I do a few mentioned here but one that I don't like is Mom Central. I want to learn about blogging as well as hang out. They just hang out.
I'm too goal oriented or maybe I'm too boring LOL.

Sheknows.com is generally a broader-topic forum, but they have a great section for moms and moms-to-be. The community I've found there is generally open and welcoming. Very little drama and a place to find good advice (or rant, you know, whatever) from been-there-done-that mothers.
I am launching my new site The Posh Parent! www.theposhparent.com which is up and running right now so you can go check it out! We do have a social network area that you can sign up for! We also offer services for WAHM and parents who own boutiques and need assistance with starting up, advertising or other PR opportunities like celebrity gifting!

I'm kind of new at all of this and diving in like a cannonball. I am a member of cafemom, poshmama, blogher, cr8everyday crafts (great groups here) and am just learning the ins and outs of using them effectively. Love all of the other suggestions and will check them out! Thanks for doing this. Twitter is my favorite tool for keeping up and quick reference.
