I like Wil Wheaton, he's @wilw, because he always makes me smile. I like @ABC_DWTS, because they talk about Dancing with the Stars, and have been very valuable with my networking. I follow @ballroom because of work. What a great idea for a thread, I'm off to read and maybe find some new people to follow!

For social media, 'dad' stuff, open source, IT and randomness I highly recommend @loudmouthman if you just check his following list you'll also see many a person worthy of your interest (he appears to link all the 'must read' people you guys have already mentioned and more besides - added to which, unlike all those worthies, he responds to EVERYONE who @ messages him)

Hi -- I try finding people locally via TwitterLocal.net. I also go to TwitterGrader.com to find who the "Twitter Elite" are and check those out, too, to see if they're as interesting as others think they are.

My recommendations (other than me ...since of course I think I'm purty darn interesting! Well, maybe not but at least I amuse myself!) are jmoriarty (funny guy, tech geek, weird sense of humor) and flagusco (interesting perspective, tweets a lot on financial stuff).

I follow Sundry and get lots of great tips for families raising kids. She posted about the site www.Fiftyp.com which I am now following and have shared with everyone I know. It's a money management and social consciousness site aimed at kids age 6 and up. It's a great way for kids to practice and learn how to manage money and become financially literate. Thanks for the tip Sundry

I love following Christopher Walken @cwwalken he is so wry and funny so is a gentleman named Timothy Siedell @badbanana. My guilty pleasure is following both Ashton Kutcher @aplusk and Demi Moore @mrskutcher. If you want to see love in motion, it is the two of them. They are genuinely loving, caring and romantic in their tweets with one another. It will make you wish you had a hubby like that! Their public tweets are often sprinkled with bits of wisdom and philosophy and links to their on-the-go qik vids showing their everyday activities.

I wish I had time to go through all of the replies! Chuck has some sort of filter on his twitter site so hopefully he will "accept" me!! I think all of you need to put your own twitter ID on your replies too so I can follow you...if you have something interesting to say. :) Here are some interesting people I have found and some of them are pure celebrity whatnot...some are actually helpful.

Hi Linda. I follow my school for important updates and my Secretary of State....saves a lot of time trying to remember to log in LOL I also follow my local news paper for quick updates.
