I'm a red mama! My brother is a wine buyer for Whole Foods - he's introduced me to some goodies... Marquis Phillips is pretty nice - an Australian wine, I think...can't remember off the bat - bit's about $15 a bottle. Love cabs, zins, shiraz, etc.

So cool that there is a wine group here!!!

Cher :)

Red or white, bubbly or not. Love experimenting and learning more about wines and all the fun stuff that can happen around wines. But please don't make mine too sweet!

I love it all! My favorite white, at the moment, is La Crema chardonnay. My go-to red is Avalon, a meritage. I love champagne -- preferably something fancy -- but prosecco has become my new favorite everyday bubbly. Our grocery store has a GREAT prosecco selection!

I love both...but, to be honest, I'm a Chardonnay gal to the core! I've tried the other whites, but keeping going back to the Chardonnay. Recently, I was bowled over by a robust red from Chile: Perez Cruz, Reserva, Cabernet Sauvignon. The Big Reds are my favourites (Shiraz, Barolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot), so I was happy to find this site about what to serve at your next dinner party, http://tinyurl.com/5t5sse. The author said that 'If you have a long guest list and a tight budget, Edward Deitch, ‘Today’ wine columnist, suggests you may want to consider one of Beringer’s merlots.' I'm with him! You can't go wrong with a Beringer's...

White zin is usually my favorite, but the answer to red or white is...YES! lol We go wine tasting in Leavenworth, WA on our anniversary every year and I love it. Walk around tasting and buying, then walk back to the hotel.

Unfortunately this has led me to understand why you purchase expensive wines. It also led hubby to liking some of the $20 and over wines. ARGHH, I liked not sharing! I think we need to head over early this year and taste test. :)

I used to love white wine, Zinfandel in particular, but over the years have come to love red wine much more than white! Right now I am enjoying Pinot Noir by Erath from Oregon, 2006. I really want to learn more about the art of wine tasting and expand my palate!

Cool, I just learned that White Zinfandel is not a "white wine"! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Zinfandel
