ISO ultimate handbag -- any recc's?

Hello Twittermoms -- after years of diaper bags and cheap totes I'm looking for a "real" handbag under $500 that will hold up to heavy use, go with any season, not look out of place on the playground, but still look fabulous when I take it into the city. Big enough for the Sept. Vogue, snacks, band aids, and lip gloss.

I actually DO love my handbag!! My friend bought it off Etsy from my favorites.....if I can find it, I'll send you a pic.
Definitely take a look at Etsy - there are so many different styles it may be a bit overwhelming at first.

Oooh one of my fav subjects, as I am the ultimate big bag girl.
I love the large totes from Dooney and Bourke. They hold up so well under the weight of everything I feel I must carry. I can even carry my laptop in mine and still have room for strappy heels.
I also love the large leather bags from Maxx New York. I have found their totes to be durable and also chic and comfy to carry.
I'm kind of flashy (tacky?), so I also like the Kathy Van Zeeland bags. I know they are over the top but sometimes I need to be that way. I am currently carrying her feedbag style bag and find it fits everything and is also super comfortable.
I have a slight addiction to bags, if you couldn't tell!
