I make a list of the things that HAVE to get done each day. And then list the other things I want to get done. Whatever gets done, gets done. I don't stress about the little things. Filling orders, working on products, homeschooling and spending time with kids and hubby are obvious priorities. I work out when my youngest is in the shower so I don't feel like I'm neglecting her. I do computer work after hubby leaves for work and try to get as much done before the homeschool day starts.

I am working on organizing the house so I try to do alittle each day. I am an organized person by nature, but with the 3 older children now out of the house, I am in the process of moving my office and using one of the bedrooms as a guest room so that all takes time. We are also remodeling our house so again - one room, one closet, one area at a time.

Like the other moms that have replied ~ I don't DO IT ALL! I do what HAS to be done first, do what NEEDS to be done second, mess around with Twitter in between [ ;D ] and spend as much time as I can updating everything that needs to be updated. Then do my best to keep my family and customers happy. I just feel so lucky to have my own business that I try to remember to enjoy the day!!

Like SewAboutMyWorld, I'm sometimes mortified when a neighbor [or customer] drops by because my housework does fall at the bottom of my long list of things to do.

I don't do it all...and I don't worry that it all needs to get done!! =) I let the housework fall to everything else first!

This is EXACTLY what I was going to say. I'm far from perfect. I don't do it all. My housekeeping in particular is terrible. But I love my kids and my DH with every fiber of my being, and as long as I show them that everyday, I feel like I'm doing OK. :)

Sometimes it's as smooth as pudding, other times I want to pull my hair out. That's when I have to take a break, think things out, make lists, get perspective and go at it again. Oh, and sometimes I just let my husband take care of me:)

I don't do it all. I've pretty much given up on TV and I don't clean my house. I absolutely rely on lots of help from friends and family and I'm willing to return the favors. A great support system is vital to my well being and my familys as a mom who works outside the home.

I don't...my house is a mess, I am not very together, but I changed what is important to me. My kids are healthy, my bills are paid, and my husband and I are still very in love. The rest does not matter.

I am a master of delegation. I make the husband and the kids do chores so that frees me up to do work and school.

I have 1 daughter at home & she is 14 so, there is really not anything she can't do if she needs it done.
We have 3 computers in 1 area so, we all are working on things at the same time.
We seldom cook, we eat allot of raw veggies & fruit that is grazed upon all day. If someone does cook, they just make enough for everyone & we eat it when we get hungry.
Laundry, vacuuming, garbage... If you see it needs done - then do it. Great thing about being in a house with a 'big' kid!
I am sure if I had little ones it would be way different.

I am not sure I have an answer, I just know that whatever needs to be handled - gets done. And the rest can fall in line and get done when it gets done. I do some because I want to, some because I have to - and the rest, because no one else wants to - ha. But I make sure to make time for myself - for manis, pedis, trips to yoga, working out, wine with the husband, champagne brunches with friends - you name it. I work hard so I can play harder - and somehow, it just all gets done.

What Lisa said. I don't do it all. I don't try to do it all and don't get upset when it all doesn't get done.

I also have let go of scrapbooking and stamping...I have replaced it with exercise and biz, but its ok...I am happier and healthier this way! I refuse to stress about things that aren't important...not good for the heart! =)
