Speaking of online social clubs, how much time is everyone spending on these? By the time I check my fave blogs and respond to comments, I have precious little time to do the social club thing! What sort of time management has everybody been using?

yes, time management is so hard with all the great networking online. I usually check my favorite sites before the kids wake up, when they nap and after they go to bed...I am getting an iphone today - could be a dangerous move...we"ll see.

well I use to do it when my kiddo was napping but lately he hasn't been napping so just whenever I can get on the puter through out the day.

Well, the days I have the most time to spend online are Tuesday and Thursday, while my oldest is in school. The younger one takes long naps, so it gives me a few hours to get on and get caught up. Other than that, it's when the kids are in bed, or before they wake up, etc..

That is the $60,000 dollar question, isn't it? For time management, I use things like email notifications when a comment has been placed on one of my blogs or discussion posts in a network. I also use Google reader to collect all the newest posts from my favorite blogs. It's a lot easier than going to each one to see if anything new has been posted!

I do it in bits & pieces. I have a couple digital scrapbooking forums I check in on daily, If I post a layout I comment on 10 or so other layouts, there are a couple crochet forums I stop by every other day or so, social networking sites get visited every couple of days in rotation, I read all my favorite blogs in a blog reader, usually hit that once a day or so. I try to drop 100 entrecards a day (which only takes less than an hour unless I stop & read things) and I try to return comments on my own blog once a day. Things get dropped depending on what i am doing. I might go a day or so without visiting any forums or social sites, I might not read all my blogs one day. It just sort of depends how the day goes. I have a routine & I try to stick with it

I limit myself to the amount of blog hopping and social networking I do, except for twitter. I give myself time in the evening after the kids go to sleep or during nap time to do these things. After my self inflicted time limit is up, no more unless all items on my to do list are done.

I'm not doing that great at keeping up with social networks. I try to check in at least once a day. There are some, though, that I've not visited in weeks! :(

I second the Google Reader suggestion!

You are right...it is hard to stop by the social network. I usually try when baby is napping, but hubby also gives me a break when he gets off of work.

Time? You have time? Can I borrow some...cause...I don't quite seem to have enough. So if you have extra, pass it on over LOL

I do my best to get social time in with work time and networking-professionally time, but it can be tough to get it all together.

My system? I use the "my toddlers finally stopped talking for five minutes oh crap i have to get something done before they want something again" system. It's been fairly effective :)

Yes, that is what I need. A SYSTEM!!! As a Virgo, I thrive on organization. I just haven't figured out what my system needs to be yet!

I try to sneek in time everywhere I can. I also teach online and have a 1 1/2 yr old, so it's definitely a struggle at times. I love Twitter because it's short and sweet, unless you get sucked in, which I easily can do :) Good question.
