I was wondering if it would be okay to start a prayer chain list on this group. I have a SIL who could really use some prayers. She is battling cancer and this week has undergone a RICE treatment (I had to google it to find out exactly what it was). I know she could really use some prayers (and her family too). I will gladly pray for others who need a prayer so please let me know.

My grandmother is in need of some prayers tonight.

She has battled breast cancer for many years, has had lumps removed, and even had to have both of her breasts removed then plastic reconstructive surgery right after. She was clear for a while, but it has come back as of a few months ago and is now battling for the last year of her life.

Anyway... she went to the hospital this morning because she couldn't breathe. It turns out she has some fluid in her lungs and around her heart and they aren't sure if it is related to the cancer or not. I do know my grandfather who had lung cancer would get that build up, too. I don't know if she will be released tomorrow or how long she will have to stay in, but it seems she has been heading downward for some time now.

My father needs prayer. He has been taken to the ER for congestive heart failure for the 2nd time in about 3 months. His lungs are filling with fluid. He's in PA and I'm in TX. I have siblings in PA with him. Thanks.

Thank you. He has been moved into a hospital room now and the fluid is starting to drain. The dr says this will continue to happen. We are just thankful we recently got him settled in an assisted living community.

I'd like to add some more.
My mom is just battling canncer also. She found it a couple of weeks ago and all families are worried and actually terrified. But, I fully believe in God and your prayers will be great help.
One more, one of my best friends has serious financial problem nowadays and I feel he is in a big trouble. He kept saying there's no hope, but I believe there's always hope in God. So, please pray for him.
God bless all of you and your prayer.

Dear Christian Moms,
Bonnie's friend form The Power of Prayer group needs prayer.

I am asking for all of you to use the Power of Prayer! I just received an update on a young woman who is a friend of my son. She received a bone marrow transplant (for leukemia) from her sister last month and has been in isolation for 100 days. Kelly just found out that she is back in a blast crisis and the transplant did not work. She will need to go through more chemo and radiation, followed by another bone marrow transplant. Her family is asking for many, many prayers for Kelly and her husband of 5 months. They have all been amazingly positive but this latest news has surprised them. Please uphold this family in prayer!

Please pray for them. God Bless you all !

Be strong Carolyn, I am praying for you. That is a situation I understand. I am an enabler myself, but am slowly learning the difference between enabling and Loving, the definition of loving in the bible: 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

I especially like the last line, it helps me in my marriage! ;-) And enabler might be someone that answers 'yes' to some of these questions:

What concerns me most is the children affected by these additions. My heart and my prayers go out to you and everyone on this list has been lifted up, even those praying! Keep it up Sisters in Christ!

I have a prayer request...
My sister in law and brother in law are fighting the battle of addiction...Unfortantly they are not winning...
Will you guys pray for them to see what it can do to their family if they continue with this..I have talked till I am blue in the face,a nd they run to me when they relapse...It hurts me to see them this way, so I send them home to sleep and watch their kids for them..I try to lift them up, I pray and talk..Nothing seems to sink in..I know that it must be them to say I have had enough but..Honestly I have had enough..We all must grow up sometime..and their kids
I won't sit back and watch this go on...
Please pray for them...
Thank you ladies!

There does not seem to be any recent activity on this discussion but I think it is one we should keep going! I do not have time right now to join a prayer group but want very much to do so! I have a prayer notepad at home I write things down to pray for and then cross them off as prayers are answered. Some of you are on that list. Keep praises posted too! I love seeing prayers answered and can attest to small miracles and answered prayers often!

I have a prayer request today, a couple actually. My daughter is sick, and althought I am sure she will be fine, it could be pneumonia and she was sick over Christmas (breaks my heart.) My good friend is also dealing with the loss of a young family member and news that her mother-in-law (an awesome lady) has a kidney infection which has led to the discovery of a mass in her stomach. they are doing testing and I am praying that it is nothing. Can you please pray for this too and for them to have peace about the loss they are experiencing and some relief from the pain? I really appreciate it! XOXOXO

i have a prayer request and PRAISE to share.

4 months ago my routine eye evaluation discovered a spot behind my retina. the spot had grown and changed shape dramatically since my last eval. the doctor said it was probably a "freckle" and he would check again to make sure it is not growing.

me being who me is, i immediately assumed the worst and just began making plans. my prayers were to make me strong, give me wisdom, help me to prepare things, etc.... then i finally just stopped worrying about it and just gave it to God. i just had so many other things going on (work, marriage, kids, house, etc.....) and i just stopped worrying, i knew God would take care of it.

well, went for my followup 2 weeks ago, and yeap! it was gone, not there, totally gone. PRAISE GOD! He is so awesome.

i ask that you keep me and my family in your prayers, so far we are pretty healthy, but just dealing with everyday life can really get you down.

thanks and God Bless!
karen
