What was your favorite band from the 80's? Was it 38 Special, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Madonna or Salt-n-Pepa??? Remember those days....

Gosh, I agree that there were so many and I liked pop, rock & alternative but my ultimate favorite was Loverboy. I thought I was going to marry all 5. :) DuranDuran was a close second and Tears For Fears actually made their way into the 90's & 2000's and Roland Orzabal is one tremendously talanted chap (not to mention he became quite the hottie in the 90's :)

Glad to see other Depeche Mode fans on here! I started liking them in the 80's and they're still my favorite today. Just saw them 2 nights in a row here in FL in early Sept at sold out shows. They really aren't an 80's band to me anymore as I think their music now is better than what they put out in the 80's. I loved The Cure, Smiths, all that stuff that was used on every John Hughes movie soundtrack. Fun topic!

One of my favorite bands was Fleetwood Mac They were probably more like the late 70's and early 80's. My most all time favorite band of any age is Earth Wind and Fire. They were much better with Maurice White, but I still love them.

I love me some 80's music! There were so many good ones. Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Go West, Psychedelic Furs, The Jim Carroll Band (sad to lose him this year) New Order, The Smiths, ABC....I could go on & on and on!

I was all over the board -- R.E.M., the B-52s, The Smiths, The The, U2, The Cars, Queen (from mid-70s), The Go-Gos, Talking Heads, Duran Duran, The Clash, David Bowie, DEVO, Cyndi Lauper, Sinead O'Connor, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode ... Still have a box full of LPs from 1976-1988 in storage, including Michael Jackson's Thriller.

Oh I had TONS.. Watch The Wedding Singer and you'll get most of them! Can I just say I HEART Adam Sandler?! I was a big U2 fan.. STILL am! In fact tonight I'll be at my 7th U2 concert the first one was was 1987!!! Also dig The Cure, Oingo Boingo, The Violent Femmes... I could sped the rest of the day on this one.. OOOOH I was SO gonna marry John Taylor from Duran Duran!
