I loved reading the Twilight books so much and am sad there are no more (at the moment) to read! Any one have any book suggestions for the mean time?

Thanks

I looked for City of Bones at Borders today, but they didn't have it. Just City of Ashes. Now I must track it down... You guys are killing me with your talk of it.

i hope you find it, its a really good book.. i'm hoping there will be surprise for me when i get home.. it feels like i've been waiting forever for City of Ashes to come in.. maybe katarinasmama's fairy dust she sent me will make it magically get here :D

My humble apologies...I just need to talk this series out with someone...who understands...and who better than all of you...I would say yes, order away...COB a little slow at first, Ashley...COA...wow.

But I am now gushing which is an emotion reserved for All Things Twilight. I just need the final installment so I can be Done With It. She promises a Death...in the final one...and it's (pardon the pun...and I know you all will) killing me!! Not to mention other more obvious things that need resolving, right Steph???

Okay, now I'm thinking that I'm going to have to skip my book club book so that I can read these. I didn't really want to read that book anyway. :)

Steph just finished COA...Steph?? Your No-Spoiler Thoughts?? Or should I just post SM's quote that was on Cassandra Clare's web page -

Dear Edward and Jacob:
I adore you both. But I'm spending the weekend with Jace. Sorry!
Love,
Stephenie
— Stephenie Meyer, author of Twilight

I agree with SM...Edward for all of eternity. But a long weekend with Jace?? Okay, I'm being very bad...and I will do my deep, Lamaze breathing (yes, I remember how)...and just stop.

i don't know if I can even do a non-spoiler post.. aaah!! first of all I loved it so much more than COB. can't wait for COG to come out in March.. it'll be like the waiting game for Breaking Dawn all over again.

aaah i don't know what to say w/o spoiling it for everyone.. i'll think about it and I might come back tomorrow when I'm not so tired... tho i do know i give it 4.75 stars :D

Yup, dead on with the rating. But you must read COB to really get COA. COB didn't hook me in like Twilight did, however Steph's right...It is like waiting for BD. Got the widget on the blog and everything.

And the author is definitely approachable, putting stuff out there to keep her fans happy...and not just quotes, mind you. I wish she had just done quotes...now my brain can't stop thinking and processing possibilities. And yes, she hops on in at Google Groups and answers things or clarifies when discussions go awry. Very cool.

i got karen chance's midnights daughter for xmas got it early so could read it while waiting for the big day to start on new moon its pretty good, its vampire related but more fantastical with dwarves and stuff, she's done a series which is on my wish list for next xmas, i reckon they'll be good too because her writings really easy to read. i also got full moon rising by keri arthur, its another vampire/ werewolf book but haven't read it yet cos im still on breaking dawn, looks good from reading the back. Also the dean koontz Frankenstein series are definitely worth a read only gotta wait for the third to be released in april. might keep you a little busy...

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this series yet, but I'm reading the House of Night series by PC and Kristin Cast. Very very good series. I started the first book last week and it sucked me in pretty fast. After finishing Marked, the rest just flew on by and now in a few short days I'm on the 5th book, Hunted. You should check them out.

I'm another one in the Southern Vampire series. However, I'm Team Eric on that one. I'm current on the series (new book in May is what I'm told) and I'm still waiting to fall in love with Bill. SIGH....It could happen. I absolutely ADORED this series and highly recommend it. I listened to them on my Zune (www.audible.com is where I got them) and it was fantastic. The reader was really good. I think I'll go for another round soon. My fav was Dead to the World.

I haven't read any of the shorts, so thank you, Elena for listing them! I'm going to find them.

True Blood (HBO) is interesting. It definitely departs from the books. It's good in its own right but it is a very, um, intense show. I don't care much for Anna Paquin as Sookie but she's tolerable.
