Burglars search Twitter, Facebook updates to target homes

I am rarely an alarmist, but with 5 kiddos, two grown, I am very careful about information I pass on in the social networking world. MOREOVER, I'm manic about checking out my followers on FB and Twitter. Yes, it's possible...just go with your gut instinct.

Here's a piece I wrote today about safety on the social networking scene...such is why I love places like Twitter Moms. We have a common bond and it's a safe community.

Please pass this on to your teens, college kiddos and adults that you know who might be a bit "Free" about posting pics of their homes and updating about their vacations! THANKS!!!

I have a friend on facebook who is constantly posting details about his business travel while his young family are home alone. Was stalked when I was younger so this is one of my things I can't get past. Thanks for the article, I'll be retweeting it in a bit.
