Calling on Twittermoms - Share your TwitterMom success story for my column

  • Rating: No Rating
Hello TwitterMoms,

I just joined this community last week, and really enjoy it.

I have a question for you guys. I write a column for The National Networker each month, on how to network your website. In this next column, I'd like to talk about TwitterMoms. What I think is interesting about TwitterMoms, is that it's bringing together 2 different social networks.

So if you would be so kind, I'd love to hear about your TwitterMom successes, and tips that you have for newbie TwitterMoms.

I think TwitterMoms is definitely a success in itself. Megan had a fantastic idea and overnight the place just blew up into THE place for moms who twitter.

We had the first ever TwitterMoms Wine Club tasting a few months back and it was so popular that it was the trending topic on twitter at the time. Plus, we all had loads of fun getting to know just a little bit about each other.

Personally, TwitterMoms has helped me connect with other moms who write about travel, like myself and my sisters in travel at TravelingMamas.com. It has introduced our daily blog to loads of new readers and many TwitterMoms even advertise on our Blog. Traveling Mamas is now in the finals for the 2009 Bloggies and this is the first year that travel is being recognized for this award. The caliber of blogs in the running are amazing and I'm really excited about even being nominated by our readers, much less making it to the finals (so thank you to those who nominated us). In fact, we're the only mom-run blog in the finals for Best Travel Blog.

The success story? Community, support, and ultimately getting to make new friends like you, Rita :)

I have really enjoyed Twitter Moms and it has opened some great opportunities for promoting my book The Unauthorized Legoland Guidebook. Thanks to Twitter Moms I have received a great online review and have two other promotional opportunities in the works!

Bridget thanks for your comments. On a side note, that's cool about your Lego book. My son does a Lego show on YouTube and his videos get over 1000 video views a day. Do you have an affiliate program for that book?
