Celebrate a caregiver in your life for a chance to win a luxury weekend in NY and great cash prizes

As moms, “caregiving” is part of our job description. So it should come as no surprise that the majority of our country’s caregivers are women providing care for children, family or a friend. The folks at CVS/pharmacy want to honor these caregivers, and have created the “For All the Ways You Care” contest as a way to celebrate caregivers in America. They’ve introduced ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com - a forum for people to share a story about someone who has touched their life or how they personally have touched another's. From stories submitted on the site, CVS/pharmacy and a panel of esteemed judges will select 10 caregivers to be treated to a luncheon and luxury weekend in New York City in early May.

As a thank you for their commitment to caring, nine finalists will each receive $10,000 and a grand prize winner will receive $25,000!

CVS/pharmacy has also created a fun promotion for TwitterMoms, to spread the word about the For All the Ways You Care contest. We invite you to start the dialogue by telling us about a caregiver in your life.

How it Works:
To participate, simply write a post on your blog about a caregiver in your life – it could even be yourself! The only requirement we ask is that your post includes at least one link to www.ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com so your readers can learn more about the CVS/pharmacy caregiving contest. Then return to this discussion page, post a comment below summarizing your blog post, and include an active link to your qualifying blog entry. That’s it! Deadline to enter is Friday, Feb. 27 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Twitter Moms Prizes and Awards:
- First 10 mom bloggers to post on their blog about caregiving and include a link to www.ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com will receive a $20 CVS/pharmacy gift card.

- The mom blogger with the most comments will receive a $150 CVS gift card.

- After posting your qualifying blog entry, the mom blogger who generates the most Twitter discussion on the topic (tweets, replies and retweets all count) will receive a $150 gift card. Just be sure to keep it real, moms: authenticity rules on Twitter. And, please use #CVS for tracking purposes.

Total Prize Value: $500

Final winners of the gift cards will be announced March 9, 2009!

CVS/pharmacy For All the Ways You Care contest:
If you’d also like to be part of the CVS/pharmacy For All the Ways You Care contest, in addition to your blog posting please also submit your story directly to www.ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com by March 1, 2009.

My post is up!

A small (yet heartfelt) tribute to my husband's wonderful grandmother...

I am sad for most people who marry into a life-long struggle with their in-laws. In-laws seem to take up a lot of airtime with many of my friends and I feel their pain. I am aware of how awful it would be to have to take Xanax to prepare for the impending in-law visit. Fortunately for me, my husbands’ parents, Frank and Barbara, are an exception to the norm. They are so helpful, accepting and loving I would not be surprised if they sprouted wings before my eyes. In fact, with a mother like Barbara, I am surprised that Wade married a girl like me. I lack all of the talents that his mother bestowed upon him when he was growing up...

This provided a great opportunity for me to pay tribute to my oh-so-compassionate husband... who has been enduring a lot of woes with his pregnant and recently unemployed wife. He's saintly. :)
