Celebrate a caregiver in your life for a chance to win a luxury weekend in NY and great cash prizes

As moms, “caregiving” is part of our job description. So it should come as no surprise that the majority of our country’s caregivers are women providing care for children, family or a friend. The folks at CVS/pharmacy want to honor these caregivers, and have created the “For All the Ways You Care” contest as a way to celebrate caregivers in America. They’ve introduced ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com - a forum for people to share a story about someone who has touched their life or how they personally have touched another's. From stories submitted on the site, CVS/pharmacy and a panel of esteemed judges will select 10 caregivers to be treated to a luncheon and luxury weekend in New York City in early May.

As a thank you for their commitment to caring, nine finalists will each receive $10,000 and a grand prize winner will receive $25,000!

CVS/pharmacy has also created a fun promotion for TwitterMoms, to spread the word about the For All the Ways You Care contest. We invite you to start the dialogue by telling us about a caregiver in your life.

How it Works:
To participate, simply write a post on your blog about a caregiver in your life – it could even be yourself! The only requirement we ask is that your post includes at least one link to www.ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com so your readers can learn more about the CVS/pharmacy caregiving contest. Then return to this discussion page, post a comment below summarizing your blog post, and include an active link to your qualifying blog entry. That’s it! Deadline to enter is Friday, Feb. 27 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Twitter Moms Prizes and Awards:
- First 10 mom bloggers to post on their blog about caregiving and include a link to www.ForAllTheWaysYouCare.com will receive a $20 CVS/pharmacy gift card.

- The mom blogger with the most comments will receive a $150 CVS gift card.

- After posting your qualifying blog entry, the mom blogger who generates the most Twitter discussion on the topic (tweets, replies and retweets all count) will receive a $150 gift card. Just be sure to keep it real, moms: authenticity rules on Twitter. And, please use #CVS for tracking purposes.

Total Prize Value: $500

Final winners of the gift cards will be announced March 9, 2009!

I posted my story on my blog. It's about my mom, who helped me out SO much when I was a single mom, and dealing with a son with major heart problems, and multiple strokes, all before he was even 3 years old.

I also submitted to the actual CVS contest site.

Thank you!

Wow! So many good entries here.

I'm the sandwich generation, caring for kids and for my aging, Alzheimer's mom. My post is about my daughter and my mother and their singing.

I edited yesterday's post to include the link to the caregiver CVS site. New York sounds fun, but I'll be caregiving while there if I go. Having a baby in the next few weeks...

Here's my entry:
