Celebrating the First Day of School

Do other moms do anything special to celebrate the start of a new school year?
We eat ice cream for breakfast on the first day of school. My kids were shocked when they saw ice cream sundaes at the breakfast table about 10 years ago. Now, they are excited & expect ice cream for breakfast...1 day each year! Even if you're a health mom, it can't hurt to have ice cream 1 day out of the year :-)
My mom took me out to lunch all by myself before school started each year. It was such a fond memory, I still do it with my kids...even though they are in high school & college!
I'd love to hear how others celebrate the first day of school.
