I knew we'd have a great discussion! From the get go you had me chuckling - Danny Zuko? Mhmm. Right there with you...something about a snarky bad boy gets me every time.

Isabelle's character is more developed in COA and you will enjoy her. So is Luke's. You will definitely see more Silent Brothers. And you will not be disappointed in the Shadowhunters vs. Everyone Else plot twists. I have the same assumption that City of Glass is Idris.

As for our darlin' Jace, I think StephDC can quote me when I was about a third of the way through it and twittered to her something like "Oh my poor Jace, how much more can a person take?" So there you have it, still not a spoiler. As for the Jace-Clary thing...trust me, it gets better. That sounds a little sick if anyone is reading this but it's one of those you-have-to-read-it-so-you-can-avoid-the-icky-feeling moments. I don't want to believe they are you-know-what so *sings lalalalalala while plugging her ears* they are not in my brain.

Now City of Ashes...all I can think of is the Valley of Ashes from The Great Gatsby...but there is a lot of metaphorical industrial ash to go around in COA. Hmmm, I may have to hunt around some more. She said that City of Bones refers to just that a literal city of bones. But, the ashes reference, StephDC thoughts??

Take care of poor DD. We've been enjoying what my 3.5 yo Bella has dubbed "Cullen Weather." Sigh. Verbal skills on par with a 13yo (okay, not really) but I swear almost! LOL. Enjoy. And oh what a ride in COA!!

on the meaning for COA, I figured it had to do something with the fact that they use the ashes of the dead shadowhunters to build the Silent City (that's right isn't it? Im not just imagining I read that?) Is there a discussion anywhere out there on the web about the metaphorical meanins of COA?

And yes ashes and bones. No, I've briefly looked at her site and blog and haven't tripped across meanings. May do more exploring later. I just love a good mission, ahem, something to take my mind off of things. Off to pick up ver 1.0 and 2.0.

And hey, did you know she has iMixes on iTunes?? Looking at COG's right now. Dang.

lol i like beiing accurate..

i think i want to do some searching too.. i loved just watching & reading the discussions on the breakdowns of the Twilight books.. sometimes I felt too dumb to even look at the thread let alone jump in a be a part of the topic lol... anyway, maybe there are some out there for the MI too..

City of Bones refers to the city where the Silent Brothers live. Brother Jeremiah calls it Bone City, and the chapter where she visits them is titled "City of Bones."

City of Ashes -- What you're referring to, Steph, sounds very familiar. I'll see if I can track down the quote.
