Dear Edward and Jacob:
I adore you both. But I'm spending the weekend with Jace. Sorry!

Well yesterday I finished COB and I have already started on COA. I have really enjoyed them.

I just hope Jace and Clary aren't related!!

One thing I like about CC's writing style is her extensive use of the English language. I can't remember the last time I read a book that had the words "a$$hat", d*ckhead, and orgy, and laughed about each instance.

"ORGY IN HOBOKEN!"

Classic.

Ladies...you have to log on to Mundie Moms...CC is there answering questions - it's very exciting!

Sebastian is the dark winged, dark haired boy in Clary's dream. Both Clary and Jace have those star shaped scars on their shoulders and we don't know why. Clary's dreams are a way "someone" (Jocelyn perhaps? - my theory) has of communicating with Clary.

Brenda, I love the audiobooks and have been falling asleep at night listening to them. They are brilliant! Well, not HP brilliant but very, very close to it. So glad you are on board.

I like CC's style a smidge more than SM's I do have to admit. But the books themselves are tied in my mind. We shall see what CC does in COG that could swing the vote either way, I suppose. I mean I don't know of too many books that contain the WTH moments like BD did...yikes that was a roller coaster ride...but I have a feeling COG will be full of twists and turns.

Anyhoo...come and play over at http://mundiemoms.freeforums.org/

I am Ms. SoNotAMundie...Steph's laughing at that right now...I sense it *winks*.

And when I was at B&N I preordered the audiobook of COG. Desperate, I know.

I was on Mundie Moms earlier today! So exciting that CC is there. I agree with k'smama about preferring CC's writing style to SM's. However, Edward is just an amazing character. For me, at least, he tips the scales in Twilight's favor. I think the world and the mythos that CC has created are fascinating. And now we have a prequel to look forward to!

Edward is a Once-In-A-Lifetime character - I totally agree!!! No one quite like him. But Jace...like the SM quote says for a weekend?? Hmmm.

Ashley, what's your screen name on MMs??

I'm rashomama. So far, just lurking. But it's definitely nice to be in a small forum with the author herself! I'm sure I'll chime in soon. Can't keep quiet for too long...

Someone over on MMs said Jace has his mannerisms but doesn't look like him. You always remember the details better than I Steph. I'm still re-reading COB...not up to COA yet. I realized in listening to it (nothing like passive listening, eh)...that I missed a lot reading COB the first time. Probably true of any book, eh?

I keep meaning to head over to mundiemoms and keep forgetting. Think Im going to now.

I have a question about your statement. I haven't reread COA yet but doesn't the inquisitor say somthing like how Jace and Clary both resemble V?? Or was she just talking about their personalities?

And there are enough hints that Jace doesn't look like Valentine/Clary/Jocelyn...the Seelie Queen hint about "what blood runs through you"...I think he really was made from the Angel's (is it Raziel??) blood. A test tube angel?? LOLz. Where's OctoMom when you need her. Sorry. I am now amusing only myself!!

I remember the same thing. I think you're right.

I have to finish reading The White Tiger so that I can get back to Jace & Clary. 19 more days!

I'm thinking it was when they were all at Lukes house (don't hold that against me tho).. the inquisitor said something about how they resemble Valentine.

I can see how Jace's personality is like Valentines because, of course, he was raised by him and he might have picked up his attitude or mannerisms even without being Valentine's actual son. I don't recall anyone say how much they look alike just how much Clary looks like Valentine.. i think lol.. I think I need to reread when i get home tonight..
