twitter moms: the influential moms network

I need some advice. I'll be sending my infant to daycare when she's 12 weeks old and I'm wondering what I need to pack. I know I need to take care of the basics, diapers, wipes, extra sets of clothes, but what am I forgetting? Also, what clothes are best/acceptable for an infant in daycare? I'm attracted to the footed sleep n' plays for daycare so that we don't lose a million socks, but is it wrong to essentially have her in pjs during the day? The sleepers are just so easy to change...I want to look out for the folks who'll be changing her too. :)

Any advice?

definelty an extra set of clothes, a few bottles, you'll probably need to supply a pack of diapers but ask because some daycares will supply some things.

Hi Lauren,
Each daycare is different and has different requirements. I would contact the daycare, or better yet go visit, and ask these questions. A good daycare should be more that happy to answer any of your questions. My little piece of advice (although you have probably already heard it) LABEL EVERYTHING. I even put a name on the diapers (as this is what they did at the daycare I sent my child to). Good luck with everything. Let me know if you have any other questions as I have heaps of daycare experience - as a customer, worker, director, trainer you name it.

I totally agree with the sleep n'plays. It makes it easier for the people caring for her, she will be comfortable and you wont lose socks.
