Do you feel Drab a lot of the time?

I know I do. Being the SAHM of four (two still in preschool) and running an after school childcare from home, I often find if I get a shower it's a good day. When I started to blog about this I was really amazed at how many moms felt the same way. Even mom's who have a SECOND job (because being a mom IS A JOB) outside the home told me they where having a hard time. Let's face it it's also not exactly cheap to be fabulous either! My very best "real life" friend is a beauty director for a world wide retailer (we'll say it's a "secret"). She noticed my downward spiral and started to give me cheap tips and tricks. That bloomed into a guest spot on my blog. I was honored but I wanted to do MORE to help not just me but other moms in a rut. One of my BBFs (bloggy best Friends) suggested a join weekly blog post, conversation style, were we lay bare (with pictures even) our own struggles. Thus was born Drabby to Fabby Friday. We started out with feet, moved on to eyes and did a full feature on hair. Along the way we've been blessed to have great people and companies give us tips and STUFF TO GIVE AWAY! I'd love to get the input of moms from here on Twitter Moms! How do you keep up with your own inner Fabby? Do you struggle with feeling drab? Are you in a rut? Have any tips? Stop by and join the discussion and hey enter to win if you see something you like! I figure if we support each other, in the end we all end up FABBY!

Oh I love this! You are too funny, and I love that you are finding a way to make "drab" humorous. As a mom of a one year old, I know what it means to feel rushed and busy all of the time, but you also have to make sure you have YOU time. If you can't get out of the house or it's too expensive to get a pedicure, do it yourself! Take 15 minutes of YOU time and go in the other room to listen to some soft music and give yourself some pampering. My point is, we all need some self pampering, even if it's just a few minutes a day.
If anyone needs more personalized support, I started my business because I wanted to help people, and that's what I've been doing for over 6 years now, helping people feel and look their best. I offer complimentary consultations and personalized services to help you achieve your goals, whether it be to lose weight, feel better about your body, feel and look more stylish, or just be healthier! www.aplusplan.com

I love you, this whatever. I too feel flabby & shabby. HELP!. Can't wait for more info. I have two teenage daughters. I love dressing them, getting them haircuts cloths. When I try to do this for myself, I always compare myself & feel really old! Rationally, I know I look ok for 48, but...

I love this idea! Even though I'm not a SAHM, I still feel tied down by my workplace & feel drabby, even at home. I'm afraid of the pictures thing :) but I love the whole idea. So many times, after our children are born, we no longer feel like putting any effort in to ourselves, at home or otherwise! I'll have to stop by.

Funny how drab doesn't discriminate between the stay at home and two job (because being a MOM is a JOB!) mom. You don't have to do the picture thing for the current giveaway and if you're shy that doesn't mean you can't comment and get in on the support. My hope is that we can all help each other feel AND look better!
