Sometimes if you are really busy it pays to have a cleaning lady. i used to but my home is so small now I don't want to bother.

We used to have a housecleaner. She was great, but then she had car problems and couldn't make it regularly. She was a referral from one of my friends who uses her, and that is really the only way I would have a housekeeper come to the house -by referral only. Her prices were fair - $10/hour, and it usually took her three to four hours for the entire house cleaning. I used her once a week for the big jobs, and then kept the house tidy the other days. Now, my husband really helps out with a lot of the work, which makes me appreciate him even more.
If you can afford one, I say get one. It truly is worth it.
I paid about $10 an hour and then we moved and my house is much smaller. I definitely think it is worth every penny. I used to work right along with my girl... and if we got done early I'd still pay her and have coffee etc...with her. I would ask her to come for 4-5 hours each week. We had lots of fun -- I think the key is finding someone you personally enjoy be their equal and have fun together then you not only have your house cleaned but you look forward to it working with a buddy- but that was me :) I just needed a helping hand I still wanted to clean

Hmmm i think i will ask a friend if i can get the number of her cleaning lady, i was also a bit worried about a stranger coming into the house and having acsess to everyithing :o)
I Have one every once in awhile. After a big party or just because the house got away from me.
I have 3 kids and 2 of them are teenagers they are my some what cleaning crew if I can get them to help. Not very often
I do...it's one luxury I just can't rid myself of. With 2 kids, I just can't do the deep clean that I used to be able to do. She does such a more detailed job with all the nooks and craney's.
No I don't and sometimes you can tell that I don't. I don't feel it should be at the top of my priority list except the the sanitizing which I do that all the time (faucets, doorknobs, stair railing, keyboards, remote controls, anything the hands constantly touch ... a quick run of the disinfectant wipes). The clutter can stay for a short time. I do the laundry a couple times a week. The dishes are always my battle.
