I just started a discussion for twitter id's, but also thought (half way through the post for that one) that knowing each other's blogs might be nice too. I have a blog that highlights some of my thoughts and feelings around being a mom, wife, woman and mother of a SN child. I like to follow other blogs that do the same. Yes, I am a member of blogger moms, but I thought it would be nice to have a record of blogs that are specific to special needs.
So, if you have one or know of one you'd like to share, please list it here so we can all start following via RSS or email.
Your perspective would be insightful for so many. I wonder, could you change the names and specific information for the kids in order to "talk" about them.? You are certainly welcome to link to my site. I will enjoy reading yours.
Teddi~ Thank you also for your link to your site. Again, I'm certain that many of us will find your perspective insightful. I look forward to reading it myself.
I have a blog for my baby girl, Hannah. She is 5mo, and she is currently being worked up for NPC, which is a neurological metabolic disease we are praying she doesn't have because it would take her away from us in a few years. She has tested delayed by EI, so we are waiting on starting therapies.
My blog is not 'just' special needs related but I do provide updates and information about my daughter's condition. http://sygnetcreations.blogspot.com
I have a large family of kids managing ADHD and ODD, some days we are very successfully, other days- we have more work to do...
My blog is located at http://www.powermomsunite.com
I look forward to reading each other's blogs and tweeting together! Candace McLane
I joined this group b/c I have worked with kids with learning disabilities for over 20 years in the classroom and as an educational therapist in private practice. I don't think our daughter has any problems with learning, yet (she's only 3). We're adopting so time will tell. I have relatives with adhd and other issues...
Even though I don't have a child with SN, and I'm not working in LD anymore, I'm still very interested and hope to offer something to someone sometime! Don't want all those years of study and work to go to waste...
My blog for growing courageous kids is @ wordpress
hmmm. this is showing code...we'll see if I did it right
I have a mommy blog, but I do a weekly post on Tuesdays about Down syndrome. I often blog the rest of the week about my youngest daughter who has Down syndrome.
This blog follows my life as part of a unique family of members, all who deal with different disorders or chronic illnesses and conditions. Sometimes, it centers on me, but I have been doing updates on each family member.
