Do you network with other bloggers?

  • Rating: 5 after 4 votes
Hi :)
I recently networked with some other bloggers and it was a wonderful experience and added traffic to my blog! Just imagine if every day you commented on only 3-5 blogs and then connected with the other blogger how much traffic it would bring to your site!
I think it would be a lot faster to grow your readership. Any thoughts? I am also doing this on my social network http://Ruthietalk.ning.com/

Hey guess what remember I told you I don't know how to do a blog! I did it... However, now I have to figure out the address and all that!! I am so untech but I will work on it and try to figure it out! It's good to know to comment on other blogs so once I figure out my name and info I will also start commenting on other blogs!!!

I just starting blogging myself and have tried to do a lot of networking. I even posted a giveaway today to try and get feedback on the best way to increase traffic. I've been visiting other blogs and commenting on things of interest in hopes of getting my name out there. Great post Ruthie!

Hi Ruth! I am 100% with you on this. I may have to get help with commenting on blogs though....there are some days I am too busy to do this.

Yes I happen to agree with you. I'm new to blogging and would love to network with other bloggers. I love learning from others experiences and look forward to making more connections.

I'm working on my first blog and am stuck on naming it. But as soon as it is up and running, I'll be taking your advice to comment on others often. At first it seemed like it could take a lot of time but then I realized it's no more time than either calling my friends on the phone or emailing them. Which I do a lot anyway. This was a great question, Ruthie! Thank you.

We should all pick 3 people a day during february and see what happens to our blogs!- I am doing a challenge for everyone that wants increased traffic to their blog to comment on 3 blogs a day at twitter...do one if that is all you can do...and if they have a site outside of twitter to subscribe to it and comment and maybe even connect with the person at the end of the month let's see how many subscribers we have. and compare notes...share this with all the blog sites here on twitter and other places. We are doing this at my social network Ruthietalk.ning.com too -and you should partner with other social networks and get them all doing it.

I've been networking with other bloggers since before I had a blog! It's not really networking, though. It is a friendship thing. If I find a blog that is interesting and enjoy the person, I'll keep going back. In the freelancing world a lot of people are meeting up via messageboards, (like this one), then get to know one another. Blog visitation just naturally occurs.

For me (and others I know), it is more about community and friendship than traffic boosts. Though a bit o' adsense is nice!
