I know it is better for women's health not to wear pantyhose. I know here in St. Louis a lot of women and girls still wear them, except for in the summer.

I have not worn panty hose in about 10 years. In the winter, I avoid skirts. In the summer, I go bare. This is a violation of my firm's dress policy, btw. No one follows it.
I'm in Arizona, so they have always been pretty optional here. I don't think I EVER wore them to work.
I do occasionally wear them to church. But only if I haven't had a chance to shave my legs ;)

You can't wear tights with every dress or skirt you wear in the cold weather, so of course I wear them. Well, I take that back. I guess you CAN wear tights but I like the look of pantyhose with some things. I don't understand what's uncomfortable about them. Just never wear "control top" or any such nonsense and you're good to go!
YES! It is an important wardrobe staple for certain situations. When you want to make an impression about how put together you are on your job. In Texas however after Easter the hose are pretty much unbearable until well into November. You would only wear them to complete the ensemble.
