This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Just wondering how many people are doing this. I'm not very good at texting to begin with and couldn't imagine doing it while I'm driving.
For everyone who feels strongly about this, will you sign the "Keep Your Mind on the Wheel" Pledge?!? It's a grassroots effort to get everyone talking about just this! And there's a contest for moms to create a PSA ($2000 in four prizes) on distracted driving. Here's the link: www.momsmsg.com
I have been told never admit to anything! LOL! Texting and driving really is not a good idea, its best to pull over and in a perfect world that is just what we would do.
I know recently in they pasted a law about texting and driving in Illinois that is a neighboring state to Missouri where I live. I do text and drive but not as much. I usually ask my teenager daughter to text back a reply for me. I will text short replies at the stoplight but other than that no. I have even decided to cut down on talking an driving. Most of the time I would talk while on the highway, because on the streets I felt there was to much going on and I should devout my attention to driving. Recently I saw a graphic PSA about driving and texting and it really made me think. I am starting to think about turning the phone off while I am driving.
