twitter moms: the influential moms network

Extra ways to Help Food Banks, Soup Kitchens and Feed the Hungry

All moms have experienced sending a canned good to their children's school to help local food banks. Although these foods drives do not meet up to current demands in our communities with more and more people lining up to receive a warm free meal from job layoffs. Sometime these soup kitchens are fewer and far between in rural areas with schools and churches resources being stretch and falling short of demand to many communities across the U.S.

TwitterMoms is a great asset to many of us for social networking and we are widely spread across the globe. That's why I thought that all of us can make a huge difference for the many children and families affected by this economy at least to receive a convenient warm meal at no expense to you.

First, little organization is needed to help our local communities. Does your community have a local soup kitchen or shelters, a local church, etc. Every community has systems in place to help and we can share with others about the valuable coupons to pass on to help feed the hungry in our communities. Just think about how many teenagers purchase fast food daily, how many times you take your kids out to eat, etc.

When you dine out at a fast food eatery or restaurant check out the information at the bottom or back of your receipt, if they offer you a short survey to take an online to receive a free sandwich or entree. Please take the time to complete the survey to receive this coupon. Then print the coupon you receive and give the coupon to some local group that helps feed the hungry in your community. Share this with your church members and PTO groups. Remember, kids want to be active in helping their communities. Make a small suggestion at your next PTO meeting or church meeting. Create a save place to donate and collect the coupons at churchs or local schools and have a rotation schedule for a teachers or church members to drop off the collection of Free Food Coupons to your local shelter or Soup Food Kitchen. I can't think a easier solution to help can you? If you can .... then please post a comment for ways for all of us to give back to the many families in need.

Ladies, these days you don't have to look to far in our neighborhoods to find a family. single mom or individual affected by this economy due to layoffs and cutbacks. Families struggling to make their mortgage payments thinning down their family budgets on utilities and food. I can't help with utilities, but TMs Tonya Ward's Energy Rescue Foundation can help restore electricity during these winter days and freezing nights.

But, I can freely participate in restaurants surveys to receive a FREE a Food or Entree Coupon to give away to someone hungry and in need. We let our teen daughter complete the surveys on all our receipts, then she prints out the coupons it's that easy and it's helps her feel like she contributing in a small way to help others.
