"The world is full of guys. Don't be a guy....BE A MAN" or
"So if you guys know so much about women, how come you're sitting here at like the 'Gas 'n Sip' on a Saturday night, with no women anywhere?" - "BY CHOICE MAN!"
"Sparkle Nealie, Sparkle" This is a quote from a very old movie Valley of the Dolls /Patty Duke. Anyway, it relates to a movie star who is using drugs to keep her movie star perky sparkle, and she downs many pills to do this. Now, I have really never been involved in the drug scene (I swear), but any time I am in a situation where I am doing something I really don't want to do, or I find myself in a situation where I am pleasing others when I really don't feel like it I can hear the words, Sparkle Nealie, Sparkle.

Because I'm in advertising and work with clients who like to play Creative Director in their spare time...
Joe Dirt: You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?
Kickin' Wing: No... because snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like.
Joe Dirt: Well that might be your problem, it's not what you like, it's the consumer.

Oh, I love the ENTIRE Love, Actually movie, it's my absolute favorite of all time. Especially the dialogue when the writer is paired with the maid who cannot speak English, and so neither knows what the other is saying. For example, when he works outside, and his manuscript gets blown into the lake, she jumps in to save it, so he does too, and here's their conversation:
Aurelia: (in Portuguese) This stuff better be good.
Jamie: It's not worth it you know, this isn't bloody Shakespeare.
Aurelia: (in Portuguese) I don't want to drown saving some shit my grandmother could have written.
Jamie: Just stop, stop.
Aurelia: (in Portuguese) What kind of idiot doesn't make copies?
Jamie: I really must do copies.
(beat) You know, there'd better not be eels in here. I can't stand eels.
Aurelia: (in Portuguese) Try not to disturb the eels.
And then, when he follows her home, after doing his best to learn Portuguese, his marriage proposal is priceless:
"Beautiful Aurelia, I've come here with a view of asking you to marriage me. I know I seems an insane person - because I hardly knows you - but sometimes things are so transparency, they don't need evidential proof."
And here is the ultimate message of the movie, which makes for a good "favorite" quote, though I love so much from the movie:
“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.”
If you haven't seen Love, Actually, you are missing a wonderful Christmas movie, by the way. So many laugh-out-loud funny, crazy romantic and cry-out-loud touching love stories, all centered around the holidays!
No doubt about it. The scene in the Deli when Meg Ryan fakes an orgasm & a woman sitting near by says "....... Watch it yourself. Have a good laugh. :) http://budurl.com/pd2l
"They all have husbands and wives and children and houses and dogs, and, you know, they've all made themselves a part of something and they can talk about what they do. What am I gonna say? "I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork. How've you been?"
Gross Point Blank
and I love numerable quotes from 300:
"The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and before this battle was over, even a god-king can bleed." - King Leonidas
"Immortals... we put their name to the test." -Dilios
"Come back with your shield, or on it." -Queen Gorgo
"There's only one woman's words that should affect the mood of my husband. Those are mine." Gorgo
""Remember us." As simple an order as a king can give. "Remember why we died." For he did not wish tribute, nor song, nor monuments nor poems of war and valor. His wish was simple. "Remember us," he said to me. That was his hope, should any free soul come across that place, in all the countless centuries yet to be. May all our voices whisper to you from the ageless stones, "Go tell the Spartans, passerby, that here by Spartan law, we lie." -Dilios
