Now that I'm working from home, I do 99% of the cooking if you count toast. If not, then I do 100% of the cooking. I love to cook, then leave the dirty dishes for my husband. :)
I cook for every day cooking - but my husband does all of the fancy meal cooking and grilling.
He will be making prime rib for Christmas Eve.
I don't enjoy cooking that much and don't really like eating big meals for supper - but my husband and daughter need full meals. They get a lot of left-overs and nights when I say 'Tonight you fend for yourselves'
I'm 45, have 4 kids ages 15, 13, 11, and 5, and my husband has always done the majority of the daily cooking. I bake cookies & such, make candy at Christmas, and will make spaghetti if forced to. HATE to cook!
I do...but sometimes I don't feel appreciated. He would be happy with a bowl of cereal, sugary kind of course and I of course plan the weekly menu by searching through every cook book and magazine, make 10 trips to the grocery. WHY? I guess I do it for myself! The kids are so picky, wonder who they learn it from...
I did the cooking for a lot of years, then my husband started watching Emeril in 2004 and well, to make a long story short, he's taken over the kitchen for the last 3 years and does all the cooking, shopping and meal planning.
My husband makes a cheesecake to die for!
He did a week at the Culinary Institute in NY and now his dreams are to enter the culinary world somehow.
I do the majority of the cooking. My husband will fend for himself sometimes. I am a vegan and he eats the average American diet. We eat completely different menus.
