I'm scared about this whole H1N1 thing, but I'm more worried that fear will cause us to put our lives on hold AND teach our kids to be afraid. Where's the healthy balance?

I'm getting the shots, at least for my asthmatic child. I won't take a chance with his health. We don't have allergies to eggs or any of the things that make flu shots dangerous, so we're going to do that.

also, i don't think only unhealthy people get viruses. Here's an article: http://www.bnl.gov/bnlweb/pubaf/pr/2001/bnlpr092501.htm

this is a virus, and virus only attach to unhealthy cells. If you are a healthy person, eating your fruits and vegetables each day....limiting the sugar intake, then you have nothing to worry about. I hate that the world is trying to use scare tactics to get us to take those shots. I have at least 3 different family members that have died after taking the flu shots. I would never do that to my body. Get educated, and stay healthy by keeping your immune system strong during the winter months.
