help, i need twittermoms for dummies.
So how do you get all these "friends"? Do i just ask total strangers to be my friend? I have yet to recruit my closest friends to twitter, I need new friends! Just kidding, but it would be nice to tweet with someone other than myself.

Hi, Jaye! I'm pretty new to Twitter, but yes, most of my friends are "strangers". I have to say, though, after awhile, these people can become your friends, too!
BTW, I'd love to add you as a friend (hope you'll do the same for me!) and we can stay in touch. I'm a work from home mom (I have 4 kids - older than yours - 8 to 15) trying to get my home businesss off the ground. I look forward to "talking" soon! Anne

One of the best ways to get followers on Twitter is to follow people yourself. A lot of times they'll follow back. To find good people to follow, find one or two interesting people, and look at who they're following. You can go down their list to see if there's anyone else you like. Or go through the twitter moms profiles and follow fellow twitter moms.
As far as friends here on twitter moms, look at people's profiles, send them a message, join in discussion questions, and send friend requests. You can do as much here as you want to.

I started by doing a search on Twitter for topics that interest me. I also hang out in digital scrapbooking sites and put my twitter in my signature line.

A lot of my friends here were strangers at first. After we connected on several thing we have a great time chatting with one another.

Jaye, it's kind of like Facebook, you can invite friends that you know, or not. I'll be your friend, you can be mine. Like in Junior High, more friends means you are a better person. Not! :)
