twitter moms: the influential moms network

This morning I had to keep myself from slapping my husband again (just kidding) because he couldn't find the kids gloves. They are in the same place since 5 years and I wonder how it is possible that he can't find them when they are in front of his nose.

Even if I tell him exactly where to find them, he tells me they are not there. In some mysterious way the gloves reappear when they hear me approach LOL. I could even find them blindfolded.

THis drives me completely nuts. Guys rather ask then look and even if they look they don't see it. GRRRRR.

Anyone with similar experiences ??

My mother calls it 'cant-find-itis' and she said it stricks most men in their lives shortly after marriage when they think their new wives have become their mother. Mine suffers from both cantfinditis and cantmembershit. =)

LOL--yes! Mommy is the only one in the house who can find anything!!! (that's only because they make a very half-hearted attempt to look and then give up)

And YES it drives me nuts!!!

hmm! Now I know why my husband's nickname is Mr. Magoo....he can't find his own shadow. The worrying thing is my 4 y.o. daughter is cut from the same cloth!

Men are like waffles- with squares in their heads. or even better, like horses, with blinds over their eyes.

I'd call that lazy, but that's just me.

What gets to me most ist that my husband would even give me the credit for finding HIS stuff.
He would always find an excuse why he COULDN'T find it.
Even after 19 years - I could punch him for it (just kidding)

I have to believe that there is some sort of chromosome connection. If I believed it was on purpose I would go crazy! Last night I needed an aspirin. My wonderful husband looked all through the medicine cabinet pulling out all kinds of medicines except the aspirin that I needed. After he went to bed I looked myself and it was right where it always is. Crazy! I just started laughing!

My three year old son also has an amazing talent for looking right at something and not seeing it. I thought he was kidding me but I swear I don't think they can help it!

I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one with this problem. I can tell my husband exactly where it is and he still cant find it. OHHH! but let me loose something or not find something his whole world comes crashing down. LOL still love him though:-)

This is so funny reading about all your husbands! Mine is the same way - I could tape something he's looking for to his forehead, and he still wouldn't find it! But, as a child, his mother & grandmother (who lived with them) did everything for him, so he never had to find things - his clothes were laid out, meals were put in front of him, etc.! I keep telling him I'm not his mother, and he needs to go look where I tell him! But alas, I always end up finding things for him! Amazingly, he is extremly organized when it comes to his garage - a place for everything, and everything in its' place! Go figure!

My goodness, my husband does the SAME thing. He's gone so far as to ask me what I DID with his keys. My response, "nothing". He was ranting and raving for about 5 minutes, one guess where they were the whole time. IN HIS HAND ! ! ! ! ! I wish that I was making this up.
