How come men can't find anything

  • Rating: 4.6 after 5 votes
This morning I had to keep myself from slapping my husband again (just kidding) because he couldn't find the kids gloves. They are in the same place since 5 years and I wonder how it is possible that he can't find them when they are in front of his nose.

Even if I tell him exactly where to find them, he tells me they are not there. In some mysterious way the gloves reappear when they hear me approach LOL. I could even find them blindfolded.

THis drives me completely nuts. Guys rather ask then look and even if they look they don't see it. GRRRRR.

Anyone with similar experiences ??

Strange as it may be, but I do have the scientific answer to why men can not find what they are looking for. It is rather simple and makes sense...at least to me.

Men look for a shape and women look for an object. We pay attention to all the details of the object.

As a Decorator/Stager, this is very helpful. That is often why they quickly assess a situation and with a response. They do not look at all the details.

Does this make sense for you?

Wow, you could be right here.

But still, ... how come they notice all the details on a female shape LOL

Because we're enablers. I admit it.

Once, my husband called me while I was in the doctor's, feet on the stirrups, to ask me where the extra extension cords were.

I labeled our baby's dresser drawers with painter's tape for my husband and he still asks me where the baby towels are.

I can totally relate to this! My DH always asks me where stuff is...um...where it goes? did you look there?

It is soooo much fun getting all these reactions. It really seems that 99 % of the female world is fighting this problem.

Carry on ladies - I am having a blast !!

ahhhh lmao at this cause my hubby is exactly like that. I tell him where the salt and pep is and he says those 4 words "I can't find it" ahhhh and i usually say, "I bet it's staring at u as we speak". Everytime it's right there staring at him.lol

I used to have a deal with my hubby. If I tell him where something is, he looks and can't find and it's THERE, right where I told him, I get to kick him. At least it made him go look again. **g**

This is true. My husband can't find anything in plain sight. I tell him where it is and he says it's not there. I looked there. Oh, you mean you looked right here. Right here where it is?

Yes he's like that. I swear once I saw him looking at the ceiling for something like it was gonna drop from heaven. My 9 year old daughter is the same. I would rather my hubby ask me where it is cause if he can't find something quickly he starts throwing things around in the place he thought he saw it last. I think its that they zero in on something where as women look around. Its hunters vs. gatherers.

Ladies, Men are so much alike! LOL. My first husband had a stroke and afterward was looking in the refrigerator for something (that was in plain sight) and he'd say he couldn't see it. Turned out that he really couldn't; the MRI showed he had lost his center vision and had a 'center block'. All that time I thought he was faking it or playing dumb. After that I was more understanding. Our son used to go around looking for something. I used to always know where all his stuff was when he was little, but after getting so tired of telling him where something was I started saying "It's where ever you left it". Now he says that to me, sometimes. lol. I have to say though, Men are basically LAZY. There are some exceptions, of course, but they depend on Women to do everything, remember everything, and bring them everything. I don't know any married woman who hasn't complained about her husband... but don't we love them when they're wonderful!
