I met mine through a blind date my brother Harry arranged. He had been saying for
awhile to me...that's the guy for you.
We went roller skating and my husband couldn't skate!
I met mine when we were 13 at Cotillion dance class. We went to the same high school, but never dated (actually, we went on one date when we were 16 and had a great time but he never called me again!)
We went our separate ways for 10 years. Then reconnected in San Francisco. We were both dating other people but were friends with each other. Then, when those relationships didn't work out, we started dating and got engaged 10 months later. We've been married for eight years!
Oh, and we have our 20th high school reunion this year! Many people will be surprised we are married!
My husband was literally, the boy next door...well the boy across the hall. I met him my first day of college. His grandmother dragged him across the hall to introduce us. He was so embarassed he doesn't even remember that part. His first memory of me is seeing me on the other side of a dorm meeting later that day and thinking, "There's the girl I'm going to marry." Glad he didn't share those thoughts with me at the time. At 18 I would have been VERY freaked out.
Didn't go to college to get a MRS. degree, but sure ended up with one. This September I will have known him half of my life.
Mike and I met via a salon owner that I did European Body Wraps for when I moved to Florida in 1991. She invited me to her daughter Diane's July 4th cookout where I met Diane's husbands cousin (Mike). Mike ask me out on a date to go bike riding on the beach the next day and a date every day until our wedding on Feb 1, 1992. This February will be our 17th anniversary. He's truly the love of my life.

On a job interview. He was a the office manager for a construction company at the time. I was hired as the receptionist. Thinking back what a fun time we had!!
I met him at a bookstore. My English Literature professor owned a used bookstore and invited me to come over and browse some books that just came in. The professor and I had a lot in common (especially in our taste of literature) and I just adored him.
After we had went through a few bags full of books, his son showed up and we found that we had a lot in common.
10 years and 3 children later, my father-in-law finally confessed that he invited us both to his store at the same time for a reason....
I met mine in the back seat of a cab leaving a party given at the American Consulate in Hong Kong. I was waiting in the cab line when a friend of mine offered to share the cab and another friend of hers were taking. We chatted. A week later we went on a date and less than three months later eloped in Hong Kong. 13 years later and four children we are still married! They said it wouldn't last.
He was working at this company, but different field. I got in the company and 2 weeks after we met we got married. talking about no more dial-up! :) still married and going on 9 yrs.
