I would do everything I cannot do as a single parent. I'm lucky if I get a few hours to myself every month (unless you count when my daughter is in bed while I work in the evenings).
I would go to a spa for a facial and massage. Stay some place with a whirlpool bath, have some wine, watch a 'grown-up movie' (anything not G-rated), and soak up as much relaxation as possible.
And my ultimate dream would be to come back home to a house that had a thorough cleaning so there was nothing waiting for me when I got back. :)
I'm so boring, all I can think of is sleep!
Oh! the very thought of this makes me feel like I am in Hawaii! wow! I'LL READ, EAT SLEEP,LISTEN TO MUSIC,TAKE LONG BATHS,take a long walk..oh ! i have a big list! ok when am I getting this time again?
I would first sit and listen to the silence. Next, a nice bottle of wine and a good book!!!
I would not leave my house, that is for sure. I'd watch all the movies I wanted, uninterrupted! Work on my crafts. Order delivery food (something my hubby detests doing) and binge on tons and tons of chocolate without having to share or feel guilty that I'm eating it. LOL That is about it really. I would just enjoy the aloneness of it all! I love my family more than anything in this world but I miss the solitude of my single days in my own apartment.
I would call up my best girlfriend's and do a "girls" night or "girls" weekend. Just go far enough away that we can drive there, no more then 2 hours, rent a hotel room with a spa in the hotel. Get a massage, bring lots and lots of food and treats to munch, bring movies and laughter and of course a few cocktails. We wouldn't have to go out unless we wanted to, and we probably wouldn't. Then after our night/weekend was over, I would go home and kiss my hubby and thank him for the well needed time away...and he would probably get lucky!!
