Reality Bites because it's nice to step back into a time of no responsibility.
If my children were with me, I would HAVE to bring a children's movie--maybe meet the Robinsons, Shrek, or Arthur's Perfect Christmas.
Something wet your pants funny like Something about Mary, Wedding Crashers, or Napolean Dynamite because laughter is key to life.
How to Lose a Man in 10 Days....I love Kate Hudson and I laugh every time I see it!
Pretty Woman....Never gets old. I love how Julia Roberts goes from low to high and how people learn not to judge others.
hmmmmmm
I'm such a sucker for chick flicks!
Almost Heaven....Reece Witherspoon. Another chick flick.

Tough question! So many to choose from! I think I would pick Sense & Sensibility (but maybe Gosford Park), Gone With The Wind (so I can enjoy a long epic & can dissect all the things wrong with that time period!) and I really need a comedy. Hmmm. Can I have The Office Season 1 on DVD as a movie?
I only need two:
Soapdish (for a good laugh)
Lady Jane (for a good cry)
If I have to be stranded on an island, I want Robert Downey Jr and Helena Bonham Carter with me.
And I'd be perfectly contented to stay there, no need for "Castaway" instructions or inspiration. No laundry. No children. No deadlines. No traffic. No phone solicitors. No Barney. As filmmaker Kelly Reichardt said in her interview in The New York Times Magazine last week, "I enjoy people most when I'm away from them."

Great question!
I'd bring the Lord of the Rings trilogy because they are 3 hours each! I'd be stranded with nothing to do but build a hut so I'd want serious distraction.
This is a difficult question--there are so many! And the other problem is I have a hard time watching movies more than once. There are very few I like enough to do so!
French Kiss--my all-time favorite Meg Ryan movie
Much Ado About Nothing--the dialogue and acting in this movie are fantastic!
The Fifth Element--serious eye candy and one of my husband's favorite movies; it would remind me of him. :)
