If you were stranded on an island and could only take three movies, what would they be and why?

boondock saints, The Godfather (I), and The Usual Suspects...I never tire of these for different reasons. Boondock Saints is just awesome and hilarious and those guys are hot. Usual Suspects - need I say more?! The Godfather...flawless.

Great question! I have so many...
"Practical Magic" - a silly little movie that I just can't get enough of. And Stevie Nicks soundtrack? Love it.
"Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood" - When Sandra Bullock starts banging the phone against the counter over and over? I have actually done that while on the phone with my mother.
"Since You Went Away" - A Christmas movie that doesn't get the attention that it should. Right up there with "It's a Wonderful Life", Claudette Colbert, Jennifer Jones and a teenaged Shirley Temple, it's about a family of women who keep the homefires burning while World War II plays out in the background.
Hmm... they're all movies about families of strong women. I think I see a theme.

Muppet Christmas Carol
Princess Bride
Sister Act

One for the holidays, one for the heart, and one for music and laughter.

Love Actually - romantic comedy
Contact - "if there isn't more out there, than it's just a waste of space"
300 - might motivate me to keep fighting the waves to get off the island

Let's see...
When Harry met Sally - my all-time favorite comedy
E.T. - great all-around flick: some laughs, some tears (I even gave my son the middle name Elliot after the boy in this movie)
Moulin Rouge - it's just....Spectacular! Spectacular!

The Wizard of Oz -- it has it all, music, suspense and a cowardly lion. What more do you need to know?
Some Like it Hot -- funny, sophisticated, ahead of it's time and great eye candy, Marilyn
Chocolat -- assuming I don't have a supply of chocolate with me, at least I can look at some. Plus a wonderful story.

1)Shakespeare in Love - beautifully written and performed

2) ET - Make me cry every time.

3) My first home movie of my daughter in her first preschool Thanksgiving recital. She sang in her little pilgrim outfit while the boy standing next to her - who was twice her size cried like a baby.Hilarious.

Auntie Mame - Favorite movie! glamour & strong woman - My dream aunt

Still Breathing - found it so romantic. (I know, low ratings, but who cares. I really enjoyed it!)

The Usual Suspects - How do you shoot the devil in the back? What if you miss?

Boondock Saints - I'm strangely comfortable with it.

Roman Holiday - Hit him again, Smitty!

These are all brilliant movies that I could watch over and over. Suspense, romance and a few hot guys, what more do you want?!
