Have you noticed that everything lately is censored in some way? Everywhere I go someone is offended by something someone else said. I feel like soon we'll have nothing to say to each other purely out of fear of hurting someone's feelings. Anyone feel this way?
I agree that people are to easily offended. Mind you that none of those people hang out around me. LOL!
I feel it is because we have been babying kids for to long.
Everyone gets to play even if they stink, never tell your child they are wrong, give kids an ok in school because they tried....
Look no one is always right, no one is good at everything, everyone has faults...
People do not want to hear the truth because they have no self confidence. They can not handle honesty, we have let the smiling lairs take over.
Don't ask me what I think unless you really want to know. I do not mince words, I tell it as I see it, & it is what I think so, take it or leave it but, don't whine about it.
At the same time - if you have something to say about me - say it to me. Don't go talking about it behind my back.
Isn't is interesting that, as an outlet, there has been an internet and social media explosion? Perhaps the constraints of having to be so PC in public is what fuels some of the anonymity that people create by having alter egos and private profiles so that they can express themselves more freely. The world needs to lighten up. I completely agree that nothing intentionally hurtful should ever be shared, but it makes no sense to feel that we have to edit observing what is so. The truth is the truth even with all its warts, pimples and scales! (Oh boy, am I going to hear it now from the PABBS* association?)
