I am having a hard time reconciling the H1N1 "National Emergency" with the laissez-faire attitude at many Pediatrician's offices. No testing, no vaccine, no tamiflu? What is it that we are suppose to do to protect our kids, outside of using Purell?
I have a friend who is a pediatrician and she's not worried either. She said statistically less people are dying of this flu than the normal flu, that the media is creating hysteria.
My pediatrician isn't really worried about it either. And well neither am I. I continue doing my normal routine of keeping things clean around the house and my children. I don't think it needed to be called a National Emergency really. Like Stephanie said, it's all a media hype!
